What is the West supposed to do about the Third World? The West gives billions in aid to the Third World, and it just ends up lining the pockets of dictators or going unused thanks to their inefficient administrations.

That is incorrect. The West pays dicators who do what the West orders. Then they complain about how the dicatators repress people. On orders from their Western Masters.

The West should leave the Third World alone and stop stealing their resources. Stop using wars, terrorists, AIDS, SARS, bird flu and other means as a method to reduce the population of colored people in the world.

No thanks. I know from long experience it's pointless to argue with anti-semitic conspiracy theorists, and I have absolutely zero hope of ever persuading you to alter your position. What's more, there's no need to try: everybody else already knows how idiotic that point of view is. Ridicule is the only response your position requires or deserves.

Happeh, I'm curious. What's the story with you and the Jews? Were you bullied by a Jewish kid at school? An evil Jewish stepfather? Did a Jewish kid once kick your butt in a chess competition or something?

Seriously, when did you come to this realisation about the Israelis' plans for world domination?

(Afterthought: I bet Happeh asks me about Islam before answering my question.)

What is with you and your assumptions that my views are based on personal experience? A way to paint me a particular way, without calling names outright?

Sneaky. I would do you the same way. I don't do that. I will not behave deceitfully just so I can win. I would rather lose honestly and honorably.

False. A government employee immediately after 9/11 said it was a controlled demolition and he was going to go investigate. The man then apparently disappeared off the face of the earth. I don't know if he disappeared literally, but all mention of him in the news was stopped. Same way they stopped talking about Bush planning to bomb Al Jazeera.

Controlling the media is a powerful thing.

Look Klytus. You just plainly called people Internet crank and no one corrected you. You just said these people with diplomas got it from a diploma mill.

If you are calling others internet cranks, that means I can say you are an internet crank. What diploma do you have that we should bother listening to you? Is your expertise from a cereal top box? I can say all of that because you did it first. And you were allowed to.

I'm sure, however, that there are many top-level physicists and academics with a soft spot for Islamic terrorists..

I am certain there are many people on internet bulletin boards, Klytus, that are sympathetic to the murder of innocent people because they are in the way or they are brown or they are muslims.

Look Klytus. You are not thinking. Here is your own words.

Watergate was not hidden and discovered. Watergate was an Israeli conspiracy to get rid of Nixon. Go listen to Nixon's recordings. It is a well known fact that Nixon said "The jews are out to get me".

The jews got him.

What terrorists? The Israelis were behind it. The Israelis control the USA government. Of course they both have the same goals.

In short, the belief that a high rise would fall straight down is absurd. The only reasonable explanation is that it was a controlled demolition. It was not terrorists who were responsible, it was the Israelis and their American agents, the Neo Cons.

Hahahaha....roflmao, thats hilarious. Israel controlling the U.S. OmFg, thats so funny and the most absurd thing i've ever heard. Do you write comedy or something?

I would like to call the readers attention to the style of rebuttal of the other side.

Both this man and Jeremy reply by laughing. What kind of a reply is that? It is not a reply. It is the refuge of people hiding things, or people who do not know how to express themselves, or people who have nothing to say.

And let me call the reader's attention to Happeh's style of rebuttal. This was directed at me on the White Phosphorous thread:

What was his name? Where did he make this announcement? Are there any records of it?
If not, it kinds of makes it impossible to prove he never existed.
See what I mean about it being pointless arguing with conspiracy theorists?

A dishonest one, since he appears to still be talking to you.

It should also be noted, of course, that "rebuttal" is really not possible because he hasn't said anything of substance beyond the smack talk.

I can keep it civil, but I'm growing increasingly tired of Happeh's constant anti-Semitic remarks. He's smart enough to say "Israelis" instead of the usual "Zionists" or "The Jews" but it's the same propaganda constantly. It's the rantings of a paranoid delusional person, not an aspie.

It is a known fact that Nixon hated Jews. As to why he had a Jew (Henry Kissinger) as an advisor, I'll never know, but the man hated Jews and Israel. He hated them even more after the '73 Israeli war, when he had a munitions embargo against Israel. Israel ran low on ammo, so it sent its nukes up in planes headed toward targets then called the White House and told Nixon. Nixon caved, and allowed immediate munitions shipments.

Neither tower collapsed straight down, one did nearly so but the other tipped a bit. and the collapses started at the impacted areas, not at the base where a controlled demolition would have been done.

No, most of them live in their parent's basements and wear tinfoil hats. And nobody alive is 100 times smarter than me, despite any of my disabilities.

If you Bush lovers would just take the time to read the evidence and the links posted by Midge at the beginning of this thread, then you will see that they are perfectly valid alternative theories as to why the towers collapsed.

Sure, these scientists are not politicians. They can only give their scientific reasons for their theories. If they think that the towers where brought down by bombs from below, they are in no position to tell us who did it!!

It is up to us citizens to decide who did it. Since the terrorists were unlikely to be on operating on the ground, we can only conclude it must be the CIA or some other governmental organisation.

Robert, please try to understand that it is possible to hate Bush but still disagree with you, too.

This "if you're not with us, you're against us" attitude is, frankly, the kind of thing Bush would (and has) said. There are more than two possible positions regarding the U.S. government.

Or we could conclude that crackpot conspiracy websites on the web are not the most reliable sources in the world, and concede that multiple fuel-laden airliners are, by themselves, more than enough to do the job.

Well, I have to say that I woefully regret having written the first post without doing years of heavy, serious research, since I just ended up doing a disservice to myself and others, and probably seriously offended some people by writing it (my apologies, ladysmokeater, and nice posts! :) ) and offended others by backing down quite a bit (my apologies, RobertN, and keep questioning things :) ). I never did feel very comfortable starting my own threads, or posting in the politics, philosophy, and religion forum as well as the news and current events forum, or on any other forum in which there is a debate going on because I don't feel I sound like my true self or represent myself very well, if that makes any sense. I'm a lot more open-minded, down to earth, and happy-go-lucky than such posts would have you believe-many of my posts elsewhere on the site are better representative of these qualities. I was seriously thinking of just deleting my first post or editing it to simply ask politely for input on the matter, but the damage was probably already done by that point. I had thought that the discussion would quickly fizzle the first page of posts, and I'm surprised that it has lasted as long as it has, although not surprised that it has been so heated.

Midge, please don't stop starting threads and trying to think in new ways! :D

The reason we react so strongly is because these sites deliberately distort the facts and take advantage of a terrible tragedy to push their own agenda (and yes, that is what Bush did with Iraq...I'm not defending him, either). We're angry at the source material, not you, who were just trying to keep an open mind and remain skeptical. :)
