Douglas Adams is the man.

You forgot the part about God vanishing in a puff of logic.

Actually, no. Take a look here: http://www.atheistbus.org.uk/bus-photos/

The sixth photo is fake, they took TallyMan's photo, somehow made it higher quality then changed the text to match that of the other buses. Bastards.

Sneaky these atheists taking my photo and photoshopping it like that

I think I need to explain my posting of page no. 1: I just saw the picture and it reminded to the well known campaign in London and I did not took any attention regarding the actual wording at the picture, so I misinterpreted it as a joke about god's action leading to nearby total standstill in London yesterday, caused by a few cm of snow.

I heard the entire London metro area has not a single snowplow. Is that true?

Ok, so we have:

- All natural disasters, and presumably the people/lives/events disrupted by them, are God's way of saying "I don't approve."

- Conservatives urged people to pray for rain during Barack Obama's opening speech for the Democratic National Convention (presumably because this is more important than praying for an end to poverty or child slave labor).

- God responded with beautiful weather for Obama's speech, but sent Hurricane Gustav to draw attention away from and disrupt the Republican National Convention.

- Therefore, God is saying Conservatives have it all wrong and Liberals have it all right.

OR...

Is Fnord God? I challenge someone to prove otherwise.

- Jo: all praise to the one true Fnord!

15 cm snow - and the same game like almost every year: Everybody is surprised that in a north-western country in Europe snow can happen.

If you listen to British media: It was a horrible blizzard, never heard of in human history before.

My eye-witness impression: Just normal winter weather.

Fnord has repeatredly expressed frustration at having missing limbs. If he were God, don't you think he would used his omnipotence to regenerated them by now? Or perhaps Almighty Fnord chooses not to, for some reason beyond our mortal comprehension ...

For the same reason that the Almighty, Omnipotent, whatever chooses to not save a rape victim, or people in a burning building, or talks to Pat Robertson instead of feeding hungry children.

"Because it works in mysterious ways."

It was normal winter weather and it was the "normal" reaction in this country. A few years ago there was also a little bit of snow fall and I cycled to the office and saw to my biggest surprise that the office was closed - "Due to severe weather conditions".

Anything below one meter of snow overnight is no excuse - at least not in the northern parts of Europe.

lol but I thought that God should be perfect and shouldn't lose his temper like that, or he's not?
