Well, here are the issues:

1) This thread was a response to another thread in PPR, which can be seen in the poll option and an explicitly stated comment, and as such, it could not be properly removed from PPR without removing it from it's context: another PPR thread. Not only that, but it also was an inspiration for another PPR thread on agnosticism, so this isn't completely non-PPR.
2) The direction this thread went isn't necessary for this thread, and the poster is not responsible for directions that a thread goes, and I would think that sorting is perhaps holistic, but with a good focus on what the OP had in mind, and relaxed as well because of the uncertainty about this
3) This thread isn't the worst offender, as the worst offender in PPR is the rule thread
4) This thread was written up within the PPR culture rather than another culture group, this can be seen by who the OP was, and the fact that there are related threads.
5) You've admitted that the OP is somewhat related to religion.

Because of that, I think it is fine being in PPR. If a moderator wants my opinion on what should be done with this thread, I would much prefer it deleted rather than moved, as once it is moved, it loses the context of related PPR threads, and a relevant PPR culture. In any case, an occasional looseness isn't likely a problem unless a thread is *way* too out of character for a forum.

So, who is going to write the AG gospels? Or do we wait until 60 years after AG has died?

Simple. Apocryphal will be the ones that include certain smilies indicating that it is satire, eg :P or :twisted:
