If wokeness is roughly synonymous with empathy, as typified by conservatives war on wokeness now treating empathy as a sin...

...and evil is the absence of empathy...

...are conservatives admitting their movement is an inherently and openly evil movement?

I've never been one to view politics as a black and white battle of good vs. evil, but it's starting to seem that conservatives wish to make it one, with themselves as the bad guys.

Quote:
In my work with the defendants (at the Nuremberg Trails 1945-1949) I was searching for the nature of evil and I now think I have come close to defining it. A lack of empathy. It’s the one characteristic that connects all the defendants, a genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow men. Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy.

Quotation: Captain G. M. Gilbert, the Army psychologist assigned to watching the defendants at the Nuremberg trials

Is wokeness synonymous with being empathetic?

Some people wouldn't agree with that idea.

But, can they make a case for why their understanding is more correct than that one?

I'm not a conservative, but I am sure some of them could try to make such an argument.

I'm not sure I've seen one effectively make that argument, so I'm not sure they have one. There's been a lot of arguments over "woke" on this website, and they've usually involved some of the conservatives who were skilled at debating.

I also haven't seen much from conservative spaces I've lurked in, even though they sure talk about "woke" quite a bit.

It is seriously concerning. I wonder where we’ll end up in the next few years. The current trajectory is not a good one.

Zionism is an ideology. Condemning Zionism is not antisemitism, conflating Zionism with the Jewish people as a whole might be, attacking anti-Zionist Jews as not really Jewish most certainly is.

Zionists who engage in those behaviours should stop using antisemitism as a cudgel against their opponents given that they are what they accuse their opponents of being.

I was listening to Prime Minister Mark Carney speak and I am extremely impressed! Very well spoken, articulate and measured in his responses and he conveys leadership. Canada made an excellent choice!

Take any religion, political party, or any ideology for that matter and it's to easy to see why I choose nihilism above it all because it's the only thing that gets me. If it threatens to or needs to abandon me to the wolves as part of its function, I abandon it in return. Some ideologies start out benign but then politically altered over the centuries until it falls in line with making sure I make it with my own effort. I can only do so much with my limitations. I cannot survive on my own and because of that, the system needs to be rigged until it eventually kills me off even it makes others suffer until they're in the same sinking boat as I am then they need to die off too. Suddenly the whole system becomes this virtually inescapable bottomless sinkhole with more and more people falling in because our leaders are manipulating social and economic darwinism to chase some twisted vision of societal perfection where only the very, very, VERY strong and resilient are allowed to survive and get rich or die trying. I love being a nihilist because I get to see all corruption where it's at clear as day.

I was going to write a paragraph refuting the meaning of “freedom” but got lost in the repetitive self-red teaming.

PPR seems to have no right answer.
Every living person can only actively or passively acquire one viewpoint.
History shows that some schools of thought will eventually perish, but leaving only the most correct ones will also make them lose their vitality.
Humans need to pursue progress, but they cannot take positive actions, they can only go to work, go shopping, go to the ball games, and make society progress by the way. However, this falls into a kind of mysticism.
Some guys call this relativism.

Time for some bad news, worse news.

The YouTuber who posts videos detailing the Alt-Right playbook has become bankrupt due to YouTube's policies.

Rightwing racists raised over 700,000 dollars for a woman who shamelessly called a black child the N-word on live camera and her actions were defended by Daily Wire's Matt Walsh.

The only people who understand the real victims of racism are the racists themselves. How dare their actions have consequences?

I'm having a political class.
The content is really annoying.
Talking about the economic policy of the Soviet Union.Spent a long time talking about Lenin's new economic policy.Hints at the similarities between Deng and Lenin and defends the commodity economy. The Stalin model, on the other hand, introduces only one sentence: it is not the only model of socialism.
