That's where the problem of haing the BLM "organisation" (founded by marxists) sharing their name with the BLM "cause"...The "organisation" and "cause" become treated as a single entity in the eyes of the public, with support for the "cause" considered support for the "organisation", and the actions of the "organisation" are associated with supporters of the "cause".

From the outside, it is hard to believe that this was not done by design.

Bric you probably know that 90% of what people chant stuff in protests they don't understand. I'm sure its the same with Trump voters who happily chant stuff like "build the wall" and "white lives matter"

And it is this 90% who are the peaceful protesters, there for the "cause"...The other 10% are the members of the "organisation" (or similar entities) using the protest as a shield for other activities, unconnected to this cause, but doing damage to it as a result of the actions they take.

In simple terms: There are "many fine people" (those there to support the "cause"), but there are also "some rough, bad people" (BLM "organisation"\"antifa") there as well, who "should be condemned totally".

Being that 2 of the three founders are self-described marxists (either in an interview, or throught their self-description supplied to a publisher), yes, it does appear it was founded by marxists. It is possible that their understanding of "marxism" was at fault, but as they described themselves as marxists, it is legitimate and entirely reasonable to describe the group as "founded by marxists".

Whether it adheres to a marxist philosophy now, however, would be a seperate debate...

Just demonstrating the inanity of comments such as "more people died in a given timeframe than in any other similar length timeframes in history" with no context regarding relative population sizes, etc. which prevents any meaningful comparison being made.
