Many Germans were also grateful and filled with national pride during WWII as the Jews were being tortured and burned.

I am grateful for what I have, but if I was an Afghan mother who gave birth to a baby with no skin, and I saw my family and relatives die from bombings, and new widespread diseases, I would hope that someone would help. It's nice to not think about these things but I don't think it's fair. We should at least know what's really going on. Why are women no longer able to have healthy children over there?

Human Nature Lyrics

"There's something wrong with human nature!! !

What is it.. in the nature of man...
that makes us hate.. and cheat..
and steal.. and kill?
Why do people get off on bigotery,
intolerance and racial intolenrance?

What is it.. that makes a man..
gaze down from his penhouse suit...
watching those young children..
sleeping rough on the streets?

Sometimes.. people do the strangest things!! !

Let the carnival begin!
Every pleasure every sin!
Looking out of their tv windows..
watching how the other half lives.

All over the world!
They put their hands in their pockets!
It releaves their conscience!

Their's something wrong with human nature!! !

Too much!! !
Too soon!! !

A Review of Emotional Hooligan

“Now this is one great CD by a great underrated artist. This record when it came out became one of the records for me of that year. Gary Clail was able to produce very innovative music that still had a danceable beat; not to forget that he was also politically very very astute. Standout track Human Nature is simply fantastic. There are other gems in this collection such as Food Clothes and Shelter etc. since this is a sound-system record the reggae and dub influence is very strongly felt along with the hard post-punk rhetoric.”

I said I'm grateful for the system that we have in place. I'm not exactly proud that we live like kings and queens compared to much of the rest of the world, it is sad that there are only very few nation compared to the rest of the world that prosper and grow.

Does this sound fair to you.. ?

Do laws equal justice.. ?

Are they always compatible.. ?

That's something worth considering.

Law was created by men, and therefore they are prone to mistake sometimes. The only "law" that is infallible is the way we are supposed to live according to what Jesus Christ/God has instructed us to live by, but that runs more into personal beliefs and ethics. But concerning man-made law, law was set forth by man to govern and watch out for the people. In trials and when judging whether a law is constitutional according to the U.S. Constitution (known as judicial review), the matter of law is interpreted by the judge during the trial and by the jury of peers. The law is by no mean perfect, and sometimes the law works against people, but it often works to make things right. You can't expect men, who have different ideas and beliefs and are capable of error, to make laws that are incapable of error. It is not possible, we human beings make errors all the time.

Doesn’t nationalism and “religious” hysteria cause great wars.. ?

Don’t they only serve to tear the fabric of humanity apart.. ?

Having pride in one's nation is just fine, however expecting everyone of one nation to live one way and only one way, under pain of death or harm, is facism. Look at America today, it is by no means facist. You have civil marriages between homosexuals, the idea of homosexuality is no longer taboo, it is an excepted cultural norm. Smoking marijuana is illegal, but people do it anyways. There are people of various religions and faiths. Abortions are legal now. Although I highly disagree with abortions, gay marriages (I don't mind homosexuals having "civil unions", but God does not accept homosexuality in the Bible, therefore I think gay marriage should be banned), and smoking marijuana, this nation is by no mean facists or extremely nationalist.

The Bible states that wars are not something that God doesn't want. As it says in Matthew in the Beautitudes:

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called Sons of God"

However some wars were nesscary for peace in the world and society, like World War I and World War II. Wars should only be fought to ensure peace and not for religious reasons, because people of different religions can live in peace with one another. Even in relationships, when the Antichrist decieves the world into believing that he is God, Christians are not supposed to become vigilantes and try to overthrow him. It says something to the effect that "However is killed by a sword must be killed by a sword, however must be imprisoned, he must be imprisoned". Those who engage in holy wars, whether Christians or Muslims or whoever else, are not being true to their faith. There are many good and decent Christians and Muslims who seek peace and not war, but only a select few choose to misuse Scripture to go out and destroy the enemy.

Why can’t we all become leaders.. ?

Each one of us.. in his/her.. own individual way.

Leading each other by example.

Do you mean leaders in the political sense or in the moral sense. In the moral sense I will agree, live by example, treat others the way you would like to be treated. If you want people to like you, then you must show them kindness and peace so that they will respect you and will want to look up to you. As that song goes for Christians, "You will know we are Christians by our love". In the political sense, if that is what you're saying, you are favoring anarchy, which I must highly disagree with. If everyone was their own leader, there will always be some aggressive and manipulative leader that will try to rule over everyone, even those who try to lead peaceful live. Everyone is divided and people could be ganged up on extremely easily. There would be chaos, and no stabilizing force to make sure everyone tows the line. A government, like the United States's, makes sure that will not occur with checks and balances.

Then you would know systems analysts don't do the programming. That job is usually done by, you know, the programmers. =]

A systems analyst is responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and recommending software and system choices to meet an organization's business requirements. Systems analysts may act as liaisons between vendors and the organization they represent. They may be responsible for developing cost analyses, design considerations, and implementation time-lines. They may also be responsible for feasibility studies of a computer system before making recommendations to senior management.

Basically a systems analyst performs the following tasks:
  • Interact with the customers to know their requirements
  • Interact with designers to convey the possible interface of the software
  • Interact/guide the coders/developers to keep track of system development
  • Perform system testing with sample/live data with the help of testers
  • Successfully implement the new system
=]

Software development entails: -
  • Gathering requirements for the proposed business solution
  • Analyzing the problem
  • Devising a plan or design for the software-based solution
  • Implementation (coding) of the software
  • Testing the software
  • Deployment
  • Maintenance and bug fixing
Note how programming is but one area of Software Development. =]

Very little attempt at organization.

It is a database macro for a banking system based on the information in the MS Excel spreadsheet. As such, that was the code of seven individual forms and three separate modules in addition to the workbook itself.

The workbook contains usernames, passwords and the amount of money in GBP each person has in their bank account. The workbook is locked and all the data is hidden and upon load up the workbook loads up a login form. The code also disables the cancel buttons. The user then selects an account type: Admin or Student whilst typing in their username and password. The workbook is unlocked and the macro searches through it to see if the login info is correct. If incorrect details are input three times in a row then the form will lock. If the information is correct then the user proceeds to either the student form or admin form depending on their account type. The macro then checks the date. If it is the first of the month then the macro adds on interest to the amount of money. Students can either withdraw money or logout. Admins can additionally make deposits, add, and delete users. When withdrawing you must re-enter the name and password of the account having money withdrawn from and select the amount of money to be withdrawn. If money in the account is zero or would be less than zero after withdrawal then it tells you that you have insufficient money and cancels. It then loads up MS Word, creates a credit note and prints it. When making a deposit it does the same, except it opens up MS Word, creates a receipt, and prints it. On logout it returns to the login form. There is an additional quit button for Admins.

Here is a brief rundown: -
Verify users at login allow deposits and increase the balance of the user’s account.
Print deposit receipts.
Allow withdrawals but prevent overdrawing.
Print withdrawal credit notes.
Add 0.5% interest on the first day of each calendar month and the users’ accounts must be adjusted/updated.

Here are the problems: -
Students can withdraw from other people’s accounts
The interest function can run more than once on the same day

Pretty basic stuff.

What? Maybe there is a ghost in the computer. Maybe the machine is trying to tell us something. 8O

What happened to the Sex Pistols? They are in just about every record store. 8) I only posted that video because people were getting out of control and derailing the topic.

Also, if we believe government is so great then maybe we should program a computer to control us instead of having flawed people as rulers.

Oh, I know that 8) 8)
It was a rethoric question. I mean Johnny Rotten appeared with the Sex Pistols in Ostend 4 years ago,he said: "We're back, I am forty and fat and we do it for the money!"

This year he was in Brussels in July I believe and did another gig which according to cirtics was awful, they raped their own songs and clearly did it for the money as so many who reunite...

Clarify.

Which 'unnecessary' functions did I add?

Yeah. Portsmouth is far better than Lehigh and Carnegie-Mellon.

Wrong: http://www.cmu.edu/research/index.shtml

And BTW, America's genocide isn't the point. The point is that we are a real power for now, and by the time we are totally washed up, I will be out of here.

(Fortunately for you, we held power long enough to prevent you from adopting German as your official language.)

You're talking about how more complex Thai and other Eastern languages are far more complex than simple Western languages, which I already knew. English has 26 letters whilst there are thousands of kanji, hanzi, hanja, han tu and wannayúk.

In Thai there is no morphological distinction between adverbs and adjectives. Verbs do not inflect. Nouns are uninflected and have no gender; there are no articles. Nouns are neither singular nor plural. Some specific nouns are reduplicated to form collectives. The particles are often untranslatable words added to the end of a sentence to indicate respect, a request, encouragement or other mood, as well as varying the level of formality. There are five phonemic tones: middle, low, high, rising and falling.

And so on...

Well firstly I'd say saying dictionary definitions don't count and claiming using dictionary definitions is the same as "making words up". Saying colloquisms don't mean anything. You spelt favour as favor as well as wealth of other spelling mistakes that are clearly not typos. You also fail to understand what people are saying completely on many occasions.

None. I was just making a guess based on your bragging. You seem the type who would. One of my mates on my course focused entirely on the app for one assignment. It was a brilliant program but he didn't have enough time to do enough of the paperwork or any other part of the assignment to get a full Distinction. You just remind me of him, who incidentally is the "dips**t friend" you quoted.

The University of Portsmouth makes a significant contribution to Britain's international and national research agenda, particularly in the areas of cosmology, biomedical sciences, Slavonic studies and European studies. It's teaching scores are excellent (QAA 2004) and the 2007 National Students Survey placed the University in the top ten mainstream English universities for overall satisfaction.

Milestones in 2007/2008 include:
  • re-launch of a prestigious Centre for Molecular Design
  • UK's first dedicated brain tumour research centre established
  • new forensic house which provides a multi-disciplinary student environment for studying crime scene detection
  • ranked as one of the top UK universities for its green credentials (2007 UK People and Planet Green League Table).

The University is the 5th most popular destination for EU students and the 10th most popular destination for overseas (Non-EU) students. The departments of Economics, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Pharmacy and Pharmacology attract some of the largest population of international students in the United Kingdom. Portsmouth has been rated as the 5th best modern university in the UK by The Times Good University Guide.

Why? Because it involves the slaughter of countless native Americans? You're also forgetting the slavery of Africans, but then again, you would.

Senselessly invading Middle-Eastern and Asian countries on little or no basis other than BS reasons and for more oil is not what I'd call power. That's what I'd call bullying. Although, whilst America is the big fat kid who goes around stealing the other kids things, England is the skinny kid who stands behind the big fat kid and shouts "Yeah!".

That is actually a good call. Kudos.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. You have got to be the dumbest person alive if you think America's involvement in WWII "saved the day". Germany had already lost the Battle of Britain and were getting their arses kicked by the Russians. The weather made it impossible for Germany to successfully invade Britain at the time anyway. Joining a war late and claiming victory is not power, that's cowardice. You need to study up. This is just embarrassing.

Yeah but Thai uses an alphasyllabary rather than an ideographic writing system so it looks like the pot is calling the kettle black about bringing up irrelevant facts. And there are four, not "thousands" of wannayuk, bunghole.

The major difficulties come from: tone and syllable duration (which you failed to bring up) and deferential speech, plus a somewhat difficult orthography. Granted it's still better than the hell of learning Chinese characters.

(And who uses Chinese characters for rendering Vietnamese or Korean anymore? Besides decorative purposes I mean.)

Good job.

You can consult Wikipedia.

My dictionary disagrees.

I don't use circular reasoning, so I shouldn't remind you of him.

And, personally, I code enough functionality into a program so that it can be maintained and extended easily. No more, no less. Using appropriate data types and utility functions rather than a huge switch/case statement is not even slightly Baroque. In fact, it's more efficient.

Yes but that's only in the UK. And if we're talking about the computer science specifically:

Eat shit. CMU is one of the best engineering universities, not just in America, but in the world.

LOL

Pacific theater anyone?

This and the fact that the the US was giving covert aid to the Allies well before officially entering the war.

What happened to the Sex Pistols? They are in just about every record store. 8) I only posted that video because people were getting out of control and derailing the topic.

Also, if we believe government is so great then maybe we should program a computer to control us instead of having flawed people as rulers.
They already did, it's called sky net
