You act as if Christianity is the reason you're not getting married.
First, you have to meet someone, and mutually fall in love, before you can talk about external hinderances. No one's hindering you from getting married but you.

Well, tbh it is because of Christianity. Do you really think if there weren't so many Christians in the US gay marriage would even be an issue? Most people who want to stop gay people getting married appear to do so because of some ret*d religion.
And you can stfu about having to meet someone and mutually fall in love. I don't actually want to get married, I want the right to get married. I shouldn't have to meet someone first to have that right. And no one's hindering me from getting married to a man, yes. But I don't want to marry a man. Would you? You have the legal right to marry anyone you want as long as they consent to that, I don't. Why is that? Why shouldn't a man be legally able to marry his partner just because both of them have a penis?
touche!
to be fair.... tis cause of the rpeublicans too.... though it's almost the same

WHY IS HAVING HOMOSEXUAL INTERCOUSRE A SIN?
Because God said it is. Those "Christians" for whom that is not a good enough reason worship man more than they worship God. (Romans 1:25)

cause so far, you've made it clear that it feels unnatural to you and feels forced... which is why you dont agree to it (obviously)
Once again, you're oversimplifying my words. I said initially it felt forced, but then it was kinda cool. Kind of like with any sin. At first it seems wrong, and you're trepidatious -- but then once you do it, it feels awesome, at least for a little while. And when I've repented of the homosexual desires within me, they left, and became disgusting to me again.

I never said He answers all my prayers -- geez, talking to you is so tiresome, when you keep twisting everything I say!

That's just it: I have, but you shape your morality by what you want to believe, rather than through unbiasedly seeking the truth.

Most of his followers seem to.
That's what gays are fighting for.
THE LEGAL RIGHT TO MARRIAGE.
They are not trying to force churches that oppose gay marriages to perform gay weddings. There are churches that will gladly do so, and gay people are content with that, or they simply go to a courthouse and get married atheist style.
However, why is it that a lot of Christians oppose legal gay marriage?
Two reasons: They either hate gays, or they fear anything outside of their little realm of normality.
What is normality?
That is the cultural roots of a society that dictates what is normal and what is not normal.
Homosexuality is a minority, so it is not normal to a predominantly heterosexual society. That's the way it has been for the past 100,000 years. Homosexuality will continue to be a minority, but now there is a chance for people who were born homosexual or bisexual to gain acceptance in a society that has traditionally persecuted and murdered them.
There are people that dislike homosexuality so much that they'll fight the changing tides no matter what happens. However, the people that staunchly oppose homosexuality are dwindling, while the people that support equal rights are increasing. The latter is including people that oppose homosexuality on a moral basis but have come to accept the fact that homosexuality is biological, and is no less different than one's skin color.
With that being said, when I hear "Hate the sin, love the sinner..." in regards to homosexuality, it is like saying, "Love the black man, hate their skin color".
Fear and hate is the only basis the anti-gay movement is standing on, and history has shown and proven without a doubt that fear and hate are two of the weakest foundations for any sort of argument. Look at how well the Nazis did. Look at how far the anti-equality movement went in prevent black people from getting civil rights. Look at how successful the Bible quoting supporters of slavery were at preventing the banishment of slavery. Look at how well the people who felt women should always be submissive and second hand humans fought to prevent women suffrage.

you have an odd concept on whether people are truly saved or not...
what if i had died whilst i was still a practicing christian?
what if i had died whilst i was still a practicing christian?
If you believed Jesus was the Son of God, died for your sins and rose again, and you repented of all your sins, and recognized Him as absolute Lord of your life, and didn't simply entertain all this as a philosophy, but TRULY believed it -- only you and God know if you truly did -- then you would go to Heaven if you died. But how can you believe, and know in your heart, that God is real one moment, and then be fully and permanently convinced He's not a moment later? That makes no sense. That's too huge a thing to just waffle on. Maybe you wanted to believe, but were never truly convinced of the reality. Maybe you thought of God as more of a state of mind or a mere force than an actual live person.
'Cause I'll tell you right now, there are A LOT of people who think they're following Christ, but are as lost as a ghost in the fog because they forsook the literal readings of salvatory doctrine in the New Testament, which includes lordship of God -- which many "Christians" reject today. They're the ones who say, "I love Jesus, but it's MY life, and I'm going to live it MY way." Cognitive dissonance.
i wont address your own waffling...
but to answer your last thing......... because i was a child. i fullheartedly believed everything... there's no way you can take that away from me whatever you want to say... religion is like love... just cause i am no longer with someone does not mean i did not wholey love them.
i think you're one of those people who thinks they're following christ... and i think pride is gonna be the sin that sends you somewhere (if i believed that's how it worked, anyway)
you keep chuckin those stones

The attraction is not wrong, if you seek to follow God and pray for the attraction's decrease or cessation.
Again, why didn't it go away for my Christian friends who were gay? And it's certainly not that they didn't try enough.
Well, how do I know how much they tried?
But what I'm saying is that they are right with God if they're sincerely praying to be right with Him. Even if the attraction hasn't yet gone away as much as they would like. Translated, that means a woman can be attracted to a woman, and STILL be right with God. That's because God, graciously, counts wanting holiness as actually being holy before Him, if it's a sincere want.
So then if the attraction is ok, why isn't there some way that gay people can act on it? ie. you can get married and have sex. I can't.
cause there's an aribtrary stipulation
in an arbitrarily correct religious text
that artbitrarily says you can only have sex with a man in marriage
Well then bollocks to that.
Why can't I get married anyway then? Straight atheists can.

Marriage has always existed of course, among both the pagan and the godly, and, like going swimming, is not expressly Christian or un-Christian. It's simply what people naturally do, as they were created to do. God doesn't look at pagans getting married, and despise the fact that they're getting married!

God is that imperfect to despise the marriage of people who do not follow Christianity?

You did get married though. It f**** up. So what? You were able to in the first place. I can't marry anyone I'd want to.
Again, your problem. Has nothing to do with me or Christianity, so you can just give up the argument right now. If you just don't like the Christian view, well, too bad.

You have the legal right to get married to a woman. You just have to go to the places where that's legal, and get it done, if it's not legal in Britain yet. And that's another thing: stop blaming the U.S. for Britain's laws on gays, which are the only ones that concern you.

It is legal in britain, its called a civil partnership, and is marriage in all but name. Please will someone quit whining about having rights they dont even want to exercise. Thank you.

She doesn't even want to get married. She just wants to post on Wrong Planet for the rest of her life, and thereby somehow change marital law.

Yeah, that's what I want to know. The last thing I want is to get married in some church, whether I'm gay or straight. I want to be able to legally get amrried so that I have the same legal and financial benefits and, most importantly, protection for my relationship (hospital visiting rights, kids etc.) that any straight couple can get.
