Remember that Republican candidate who wanted to find "cracker like" people for an ad in West Virginia and Lee Atwater who called the heartland religious right people "extra chromosome" people...

Oh, the rural heartland, Yah. I think that view of all people in the mid-west being simple, god fearing folk, and the assumption they're all Republican, is pretty elitist in itself.

Have two fire departments funded by subscription. Say one for home property and the other for commercial property. ..... Problem solved. No monopoly.
