You know how managers will say to an employee in training "don't be afraid to ask questions"? I really have annoyed some of those while learning the tasks I'm supposed to be responsible for. Usually managers, especially in Wal-Mart, will just stick you at a computer terminal where all you have to do is a series of multiple choice questions to pass it - after which you are considered to be "trained", although their lessons are just the same as fine print text in terms of how useful they are in actually doing the tasks required - enough to hold you liable legally but not what you actually need to know. The managers, who were never to be found when I needed the grocery side trash compactor unlocked, didn't like being bothered with questions of "How do I mix paint?", "Is the GM side warehouse suppose to have an absence of order so as to make it more challenging to find the merchandise I'm going to be blamed for not putting out on time?", "Why do you consider a curling iron to be part of Housewares?", "If I'm to be blamed for not being in my department, then could I stop being called to be a back-up cashier?". Managers especially hate questions of "why" since they want their slaves to not speak unless spoken to and otherwise hate "back-talk".

hes probably just pissed off and is expressing it in such a way. Plenty of people vent, some more inappropriately then others. The internet for some is like a shrink, and they vent hard :/ is what it is, but obviously we should all post the true answer. And actually yea, it just happens to be that foreigners have a generally better work ethic, or american foreigners as well. Imagine having as or anything else in a Japanese school where everything is so competitive.

I work as a computer programmer, and I do well at it. I worked in fast food in high school for a little while, but it was absolutely horrible, especially for someone with Asperger's syndrome. Also, I know fast food's hiring policies are surprisingly regimented, and they're unlikely to wittingly hire undocumented workers (from my experience).

People who work at menial level jobs like Arbys do so to build a work history and learn things such as how to get along with your boss and coworkers and do your job assignment as expected.

These jobs have a very high turnover because people use them as stepping stones on the way to something better. The big thing in any job is being able to get along with your other coworkers and "fitting in". This knowing how to "fit in" is what is so difficult for an Aspie to grasp.

Islam in this regard has helped me because learning how to fit in at the mosque helps you to develop skills on learning how to fit in at other places. But this benefit demands a price: You have to get rid of your hard-headedness and open your heart and let it guide you to fitting in.

But someone at my mosque told me that if you take one step towards Allah he will take two steps towards you. The saying that God helps them that help themselves is so very true.

Making fun of the way people talk (for political reasons?) never seemed funny, even when I was a child. Some people never got the benefit of an aristocratic education so speak as their fathers and grandfathers spoke. To an outsider this may be amusing but hardly a reason to make fun of any group, either U.S. citizens or foreigners to our country.

Or perhaps the amusing parts are when these (possibly uneducated) people actually lose their jobs to illegal aliens? Is that the part that gets you chuckling? For over 20 years my manual labor job took me into literally thousands of manufacturing companies....I've seen the people displaced by foreign workers.

The worst situation I've seen (many times) has been entire companies forced to close because overseas companies paying a fraction of a living wage have taken all of their business. Some are sadder than others: I remember when Chicago Rawhide closed....so sad watching these people say goodbye to each other.

It's just not funny.
