Okay so we know where the water came from.
It came from this cosmic layer of water balloons that god put around the planet.

But that still leaves the question of where the water WENT when the flood was over.

To drown the tallest peaks you need more surplus water than the normal amount of water that exists in the entire hydrosphere. The ocean only averages about 13000 feet deep, but the flood raised the water to such a level that it "drowned the highest peaks" inluding everest- meaning the water reached about 30thousand feet above current sea level.

Further: how could there be day and night if the heavens were blocked from view by this "vault of water"?

Interesting that you call the water canopy "protective".
What was it protecting us from?
And why are we surviving without this protection?


Aren't there claims that most of the Earth would flood if the polar ice caps melted. Maybe all that water is now polar ice caps, glaciers, and water vapor.

Try the Global Warming alarmism, you can't have it both ways. First there are claims that places all over the globe will flood due to global warming, then you argue that there is not enough water in the ice to cause the massive flooding, which is it?

It says it the water covered the highest mountain peaks!
Everest is 29000 plus feet- so the surface of the water would have to have been about 30 thousand feet above sea level.

Be even ignoring that and allowing big mountain chains to be islands and only flooding saying half of the land area of the continents- that would still be way beyond what melting ice caps could do.


Im assuming that you're taking Genisis absolutely literally.
If you're hypothesizing that the Noah story is based on a local catastrophe- a local tribe being traumatized by a Katrina type flood in the neolithic- then that sort of thing might well have been caused by polar ice caps melting thousands of miles away due to somekind of climate change.

The earth may have actually been flatter, a major geological event could have later created some of the mountains we see today. Some geological changes can occur over thousands of years, but some can happen overnight.

The Space Program creates a lot of technological innovations that creates jobs. So it is a legitimate item to spend money on, furthermore it can be used for military defensive purposes as well and thus one can argue Constitutionally it is a legitimate thing for Government to spend money on.

I shall again break my rule, in order to teach and perhaps enlighten the general readership.

A. The plumber's faucets leak and the electrician's house keeps blowing fuses; those who can do, those who can't teach and why would someone who could begin to communicate or wanted to go into linguistics.

B. Languages, as I have often said, have MIScommunication as a principal function.

C. We could an if we would ... the ability to communicate does not imply the desire to communicate in all cases.

Who bothers to ask WHY God would do such a thing?

He created Adam and Eve and they ticked him off in the first month or two so he cursed them and all their descendants to Hell and threw them out of the garden.

After that he ignored humanity for an unspecified time until he was annoyed by the Tower of Babel so he blew it up and scattered the people.

After that he waited for another unspecified time before he decided to kill everyone in the world except Noah and his family. Note that there is no mention in the bible that God was trying to teach the people what he wanted from them.

So he decides to off all the people. Why kill all the poor animals? What did they do to annoy him?

Can anyone say psychopath? These are not the actions of a wise and loving God.
These are the actions of a psychopathic little boy who likes to torture kittens and pull the wings off flies.

No wonder Lucifer and a third of the angels were so disgusted with him that they quit their jobs.

Lewis Black opined that "he must have taken an anger management class, or maybe the birth of a son calmed him down" to explian why God got noticeably nicer in the New Testament.
