This is my big problem with pundits and talk show hosts. In my view they exist for two reasons; One, to provide entertainment, since this is basically what modern media has resolved itself into; and two, to provide people unwilling to do the 'hard work' of reading into history and politics, and thereby building a real understanding, with opinions. For this reason I hate when pundits left or right are cited as 'evidence' of anything

Beyond the Tax Cuts of 2001 by the right and the Health Care Reform Package of 2010 by the left, what other significant impact has the action of either side had on the general public, that is different from the other side, that fits the stereotypes presented in this topic, in the last ten years.

Please exclude the Iraq war because both sides were in agreement; and bailouts and stimulus plans during the economic downturn because both parties participated in this.

I think that beyond the stereotypical differences, the actual impacts, of either party, for the most part, no longer fit the stereotypes that many people have of each party and are largely the same regardless if the left or right is in control.

If you agree, do you think this will change in the next ten years?
