While it is not impossibly hard, it is exacting, requires focus and concentration and involves enough calculation and correlation of data to not be done by an idiot. And one must pass an exacting examination to get a license. If automobile driving were as rigorous licensed as piloting there would be only a tenth as many cars legally on the road as there are now.

Are you a pilot? Do you know what you are talking about? I am (or was). My piloting days are over because my sight, my hand-eye co-ordination and my hearing are not what they used to be.

Y'know, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Incompetent drivers kill a lot more Americans than terrorists ever have. Why do we have to put up with the absurd over-the-top restrictions on flying (even as a mere passenger) while any drunken idiot can get behind the wheel of a car?

What's sad is that me in my drunken state is still a more capable driver than most people sober. More focused on the road, as well.

/I've been seeing more people take crazy turns lately...IE, turning right from the left lane, turning left from the right lane...and they were sober.

That's probably true. A fairly large number of careless idiots have damn near gotten me killed when they chose to ignore the fact that I had the right of way. One person smashed up my old bike pretty badly when she actually hit me a few months back. Just sailed straight through a stop sign without bothering to check if anyone was there.

Most people fail to understand that it's a murder vehicle more than a second home where you can eat meals and watch TV and talk on the phone.

Funny, some of the worst driver's I've seen have either been from out east, or College Professors and/or College students.

Worst I've seen have been white trash. Normally driving white trucks.

Any other racist rants? I bolded the remark for emphasis...

So in a liberal's mind it is okay for Clinton to have had affairs and commit perjury, but Newt Gingrich has no business being President because he had affairs (about 15 years ago), and did not commit perjury.

The impeachment of Clinton was about obstruction of justice and committing perjury, not the fact that he couldn't keep his pants on.

Yup - that's about it. :D

Clinton wasn't re-elected after all that hullaballo - though polls show he could have been. The issue is that Gingrich is a hypocrite, and a disingenuous one at that. He won't be president because he won't get the votes. That is the only criteria that matters in a democratic republic.

Every other statement from you is a bigoted, ignorant statement and you expect any sympathy from anyone here? You were just doing the same exact thing with saying "college professors and college students".

That depends on what your definition of "is" is.

Can't believe someone actually took that craptastic bait.

How was Gingrich a hypocrit if the impeachment was over Clinton committing perjury? Gingrich didn't commit perjury.

I don't interpret "white trash" to be racist, rather it is descriptive. There are lots of different kinds of trash, this trash happened to be white.

There's plenty white trash in Florida and Louisiana. My friend got run down by some drunk white trash; messed up his knee and left him with some severe road rash.

And I've seen a person drive their car on a sidewalk, a city bus run a stop sign, and another car running a stop sign all on the same day... There are people that just shouldn't be behind the wheel, also I know of a lot college professionals that drive older trucks.

I think the actual bottom line is that most people probably shouldn't be allowed to drive because they're distracted people in general and cannot operate a motor vehicle responsibly.

Maybe should start calling it a murder vehicle to really emphasize the level of responsibility with it.
