He came by last week and disappeared again shortly after. Apparently the PPR annoys him. :P

I thought he was banned? The rules prohibit discussions concerning banned members.

Not at all. Quite the opposite.

Not bad

Both Stephan Colbert and Ann Coulter would pay money for your copy! One would use you words as ironic comedy, the other would recite the exact same words straight!

I don't see why he would be banned, he didn't do anything wrong...

There are like a million slightly different versions of this joke floating around on the Internet.

One version is clearly superior to the version in this thread, because it adds the following words:

"The arrogant professor smirked quite Jewishly and smugly replied..." 8)

But then it conflicts with the professor being an affirmative-action academic named DeShawn Washington. Decisions, decisions....

"Conservatives" seem not to have the intellectual ability to identify and appreciate satire.

Indeed, sometimes it is difficult to tell the difference between "Conservative" statements and satires of the same.

I don't get who's being made fun of in that satire, is it the extreme dude disrupting the class or the professor teaching the class, democrats, republicans or socialists, Karl Marx, marxists?........its just rather unclear who is supposed to look bad.

You realize that this did not actually happen don't you?

A liberal homosexual ACLU lawyer professor and abortion doctor was teaching a class on Karl Marx.

”Before the class begins," he demanded, "you must get on your knees and worship Marx and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world has ever known, even greater than Jesus Christ!”

At this moment, a brave, patriotic, pro-life Navy SEAL champion who had served 1500 tours of duty and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decision made by the United States stood up and held up a rock.

”How old is this rock, pinhead?”

The arrogant professor smirked and smugly replied “4.6 billion years, you stupid Christian”

”Wrong. It’s been 5,000 years since God created it. If it was 4.6 billion years old and evolution, as you say, is real… then it should be an animal now”

The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Origin of the Species. He stormed out of the room crying those liberal crocodile tears. The same tears liberals cry for the “poor” (who today live in such luxury that most own refrigerators) when they jealously try to claw justly earned wealth from the deserving job creators. There is no doubt that at this point our professor, DeShawn Washington, wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a sophist liberal professor. He wished so much that he had a gun to shoot himself from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!

The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named “Small Government” flew into the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country.

The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plague AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.

Semper Fi.

I don't believe a word of this. But even if it is true the rock is still likely to be billions or years old.

The Bible is a book of Stories, not a Book of Facts.

I've always thought it was a bit harsh for all the american economics/politics/philosophy classes to make no mention ever of Marx or Engels so I was quite pleased when I saw the title of this thread, at last they are growing up...

Then I read it.

Do we have an emoticon for bewildered disappointment?

This will have to suffice. 8O

The people who share such stories are being made fun of. By playing to all of their prejudices, the story reveals how silly their worldview is.

I still don't really get the satire or irony or anything....

It makes fun of right wing Christians.

Well then why does the professor cry when the idiot ruffian starts screaming about God, rocks and religion or whatever? I would think the professor should be laughing his ass off.

That's what makes it funny, the fact that some conservatives have this kind of fantasy, it's a satire of a right wing Christian fantasy and ideology.
Obviously in real life the prof's entire framework of reality would not be shattered by some home schooled evangelist countryboy citing the bible.

Being God, wouldn't he have an awareness of Star Trek? And isn't he a giver of good gifts? He give us all replicators!

This thread is f*cking hilarious, in spite of (or perhaps because of) it's over the top tastelessness, vulgarity and morbid undertones.

A fitting end but I would have preferred a more violent one.
