Fox News -Still Jerks- want wikipedia to be censored.

Hey, fun fact - when teens are taught about birth control, they're ALSO taught about STDs and pregnancies! They don't just exhibit a selection of condoms and firmly warn you to always use one - they educate on the failure rates of common contraceptives (condoms, for example, fail 10% of the time even if used perfectly), which contraceptives prevent STDs and which do not, and how to use those contraceptives. In the meantime, abstinence isn't neglected - as the only 100% effective contraceptive, it's mentioned at least once a class - but in the ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN event that the teen then goes and has sex anyway, they're equipped to do so safely and responsibly.

Darling, that's a straw-man argument. Teens need no encouragement to have sex, for one thing, and abstinence-only programs not only tell teens not to have sex, they tell teens that sex is dirty and evil, and that girls are 'used up' once they've had sex with a boy. Various abstinence-only programs have compared non-virgin girls (but not boys) to used bandaids, chewed bubblegum, and dirty socks. In addition, they tell teens that birth control doesn't prevent pregnancy and that condoms don't prevent STIs - both factually untrue - so that when the teens inevitably do have sex, they're less likely to use protection and thus more likely to get pregnant or pick up an infection.

To get back on topic, the original reason Fox News went after Wikipedia was when someone tipped them off that there was actually child pornography on wikipedia's commons. I know that stuff got pulled off wikipedia, since then Fox News has been continually pushing for Wikipedia to have stricter standards.

Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wiki has seen to it that no one can censor it. There are mechanism for discovering and eliminating error built into the operation of Wiki. Wiki cannot be stopped, blocked or censored by any government or corporation.
