Does God want America to become a Mormon country?

You do realize people said the same thing about Kennedy because he was Catholic, that he would bow to the Pope...
This kind of a thread is rather insulting... If it was intended as a joke, it isn't funny.
Except that Kennedy spoke out against letting faith overcome his real world responsibilities.
I haven't yet heard Romney speak on whether his religion will override his duties as a President to people of all faiths. I'm concerned that he may be a political anchor baby for the Mormon faith to infiltrate the government.
I don't think there is a god, and if there is, he doesn't give a rat's ass what faith you are. Why must we always throw stupid issues like religion into our decision of whether or not to vote for someone? God damnit, are we really THAT blind? This kind of crap is how they divide us and make us argue/fight with one another instead of getting pissed at the people who are running/ruining this country(republicans AND democrats: neither one gives a s**t about you) and doing something about it.
As far as I'm concerned, no matter what faith you are, keep it the hell out of politics.

Some think, because of the peculiar situation of the country of the United States—the government being so well organized, little or no difficulty will ever come upon this continent, notwithstanding the European wars. Allow me to tell you in relation to that—when the Spirit of the Lord is powerfully manifested in any of the Elders of Israel, the first thing that is presented to his mind is the shedding of the blood of the Prophet, and those who did the deed.
It is no matter how much they deal in compromised measures, or how often they try to adjust difficulties that thicken around them—it is a stern fact that the people of the United States have shed the blood of the Prophets, driven out the Saints of God, rejected the Priesthood, and set at naught the holy Gospel; and the result of rejecting the Gospel has been, in every age, a visitation from the chastening hand of the Almighty—which chastisement will be administered in proportion to the magnitude and enormity of their crimes.
Consequently I look for the Lord to use His whip on the refractory son called “Uncle Sam;” I expect to see him chastised among the first of the nations. I think Uncle Sam is one of the Lord's boys that He will take the rod to first, and make him dance nimbly to his own tune of “Oh! Oh!!” for his transgressions, for his high-mindedness and loftiness, for his evil, for rejecting the Gospel, and causing the earth to drink the blood of the Saints—for this, I say, I expect he will be well switched among the first of the sons.

Yep. Mitt Romney is going to spank us, on behalf of God.

He also spoke out against secrecy in government, and I'm pretty sure he tried to warn us about the military industrial complex, but i'm not sure if he called it that exactly. I know Ike did, but either way... That's why he was shot. The rest of the government wanted to keep things secret.

Too bad.

And where was my error?
Visha9000 wrote:
3) i dislike your use of recruting and outbreeding could you find a less demening way of puting your opinion of my religeon.
Recruiting and breeding new mormons are very effective means of expanding your religion. If you all decided to be like Paul (in the breeding department), then your religion wouldn't last another generation.
Visha9000 wrote:

I think that I know enough.
1) its your choice not to use the polliticaly correct term for my religion. Just becuz you call natives native instead of indean , african people african instead of a vulgur word thatto starts with the 14 letter of the alphabete, its your choice if you want to call my religeon mormon instead of the proper term, LDS(latter day saints if you didnt know.)
2)the majority of the early LdS people went to utah. Some went to mexico, some to canada, some to different parts of the world. They were chased to utah due to illigal crimes an several people who comited perjury against them. They did not get chased to mexico, back to usa, then back to mexico.
3) we invite people to learn our gospel. It is up to them to decide if they want to join. We never force anybody.
And breeding sounds very much like your discribing us as a vermin instead of us doing what almost every family does. You could have put "and due to the number of LDS families in some areas, the number of LDS chirldren who will eventualy get married and have more children, the population in certane contry's is becoming largly LDS."
4) its always better to learn as much as you can.

Well we just describe it that way because Mormons have a greater than average amount of men trading their underage daughters around like cattle to other Mormons in order to create armies of offspring.
I'm sure that you'll point out that there are some classy exceptions like the fake show on HBO or Sister Wives or something. Go preach about it on a compound.

Utah was a part of Mexico at the time that the Mormons fled there. After 1849, Utah became United States territory, and the Mormons found themselves again living in US territory.

Everyone knows this.

Why use 30 words when one will suffice? People and vermin both breed. Mormons breed at a much higher rate than other people. Even most nominal Catholics have cut down, in spite of the Pope's admonitions. All that they have to do is go and confess their use of contraceptives to a priest, recite a few "Hail Maries" and "Our Fathers", and then everything is absolved.

In most cases, yes. But, if you've acquired enough information to decide that Mormonism is poppycock, then learning more and more about Mormonism will have diminishing returns, compared to learning more and more about some other area of interest.

I think you are quoting the wrong religeon. What you discribed is the FLDS and the mormons. The church of jesus christ of latter day saints is unaffiliated with those groupes and renounce them as law breakers. The FLDS live in their own towns and do the underage /polygamy thing. The mormons have 2 wives and tout religeos fremdom as a way to get around laws.
You are confusing 3 different religeons and yhen say you did the reseach.
Next time you want to argue about a religeon, make sure your quoting the right religeon.

Actually I never said that I did any research. I'm confused as to why you're here. This thread is about the Mormon threat and if you're not Mormon then why are you squabbling?

Actually, we're comparing three different denominations within the same religion, all of them following the same holy book. Additionally, even the 'mainstream' church engages in activities that are unacceptable, including but not limited to spending millions of dollars in attempts to suppress the rights of groups they don't like, indoctrination/brainwashing and, my personal favorite, keeping people in the church through the threat of social sanctions or even being driven out of one's own family if one leaves.
I don't like Mormons, or Latter-Day Saints, or Fundamentalist Latter-Day Saints. The only real difference is the degree of intolerable behavior.

Actually some of that behavior is seen in other Monotheistic cults as well. We already have to be concerned about the apparent rise in vicious and borderline treasonous Baptite and Talibangelist activity. I don't want to have to watch a political anchor baby for the Mormons further weaken our nation's resistance to religious corruption.

I thought you were arantprophet. I didnt read your user name. I appoligise for that.
I am here because people are mixing up the three religeons and becuz Mitt Romney is not mormon. He is LDS. And having him as the usa's president would help alot of people. If you look through the LDS docterine you would find that alot of it if implemented would help amarica. And the church is almost completly transparent. The only things about it that are closed to the mainstream public are the temples, the members personal info and docteran sealed from those not authorised by God to read or see them
@lord garath
The LDS church will not force anybody to do anything against their will. I have a few friends that left the church or became inactive. The most the church will do is try to include them in activities and have them talk with our missionarys if they want. And all the money in the church goes to actual needs in or around that church. If you give money to a certain church, only that church will use it. It is completly up to the members of the church wether or not they follow all, just some or almost none of the teachings. I myself dont follow all of them, and the church acepts that.
