That is apparently what kept happening with wizards and alchemists; they tried to summon, communicate with, eventually hoped to command or control demons, but found otherwise.

They cannot be controlled, they do not want to become friends and disclose ancient secrets, or become a 'Familiar'....they are destroyers, soul-eaters, and they are very good at it...they have been at it forever!

There's excellent reason the Bible clearly forbids any attempt at communication with them.

Nope, never heard of it, actually, but judging from your earlier post, you are extremely knowledgeable regarding the subjects referred to in this thread.

Could you give a quick outline of the Grimoire?

For what it is worth, I do differentiate between Satanism, Demon Worship, Paganism, Wicca, Crowley's groups, La Vey's groups.....I see them and others as being quite different from each other, and I do believe that each group and each individual should be known for themselves, not as a blanket categorization, which I rather think that the OP seemed to be doing.

I did not accuse anyone of stupidity.
I said that "I rather think that the OP seemed to be doing", referring to apparently categorizing all 'satanists' together.
These groups and individuals are not all the same, and the purpose of any discussion is not only to express our opinions and to share knowledges, but to learn from each other, which is why I asked OliveOilMom for an outline on the Grimoire that she referred to.
She obviously knows a lot about these religions or beliefs, and I respect that, and I do appreciate the opportunity to learn.

I meant the first post. One of the sins is pretension, another is stupidity. Isn't accusing someone of stupidity lending to an air of pretension is my question? People want to think they are smart, everyone else is dumb. That's a form of pretense, right?
