The Galileo Fallacy: The notion that if you are vilified for your ideas, you must be right. It refers to Galileo Galilei's famous persecution at the hands of the Roman Catholic Church for his defense of heliocentricism in the face of the orthodox Biblical literalism of the day -- "They made fun of Galileo, and he was right; They make fun of me, therefore I must be right too!" -- People use arguments of this type repeatedly in response to serious criticisms that more often than not they just don't understand.

You do not understand any of our criticisms, and understand even less of your own claims.

It also goes like this... "The laughed at Einstein and just look ... etc. ....."

Sometime people with seemingly crackpot ideas are really onto something. Most of the time they are just crackpots.
