The main reason I don't think this is an Al Quaeda job-

If it was an Islamic bomber, they would have found blood or parts of the perpetrator's body. There wouldn't be anyone to 'arrest'.

Not so. You have heard of IEDs yes? They are exploded by timers or remotely by cell phone calls.

I agree this was not an an al queda job or any of the "leading" terrorist groups. Why? They have not claimed responsibility for this.

I think this was a lone wolf job and it might not be politically motivated. What is some sociopath were curious about the effect of a bomb going off on a crowed street in an American city, especially during a well televised sporting or athletic event. If this is done by a loose cannon let us hope he does not want to extend his experimentation to crowed subway cars during the rush hour.

IED's are used by the Taliban in Afghanistan because they are an effective means of guerrilla warfare against patrolling combatants. The Taliban also use assault rifles but whenever there is a shooting in America, no-ones first instinct is to think its by a jihadist.

With the attacks by islamists in civillian centres such as London, Madrid and New York the common denominator is that they've all been suicide attacks.

No. Madrid was a backpack bombing remotely detonated by cellphones, the suspects later committed suicide by blowing themselves up some time after the bombings. The attempted Time Square bombing in 2010 was suppose to be remotely detonated. The World Trade Center bombing in 1993 was remotely detonated.

They appear to be focused on Mr. white hat and his buddy in the blue running jacket. You can see their photos on various sites. Middle eastern looking. The media have described them enough from law enforcement sources to make it somewhat likely who they are talking about.

The problem with that is that the FBI said a backwards cap.

Pretty sure it was the internet that found those two guys and then the FBI took notice. Kind of cool if it actually turns out to be the culprits, terrible for those two guys if it isn't.

They do look very suspicious tho, the guy with the white hat's backpack is even kind of shaped like a pressure cooker. The guy in the the blue track suit is carrying what looks like a pretty heavy duffle bag.

Not sure if one guy could do this by himself so multiple suspects makes sense.

It still might be someone else. There are several backwards ball cap guys. The real breakthrough was something that people don't have access to, a Lord and Taylor security tape that is supposed to show him clearly.

They are going to have to find someone who is not guilty to blame for the sake of the public pressure.

Guy in the white hat came forward and has said it wasn't him. 17 year old Moroccan immigrant and his 24 year old track coach also Moroccan. If they still have their bags then probably safe to assume it's not them.

I'm getting the feeling they have absolutely no idea who did this. The only leads that we know of have been pointed out by internet users.

The FBI might have plotted it as one of those entrapment cases and it went off... and they're too embarassed to want it to be known.

Backward cap guy you have a decent look at but not good enough to really draw any conclusions(he's not pale white or brown skinned) Tall, thin, looks very young. Other guy is pretty nondescript, hat sunglasses.
