I don't deny people the right to join the church of their choosing it's just that, if I am in a church, I want to be the one that starts it and is the supreme being, Pope if you will. I am not going to join one someone else started. I want to be like L Ron, not one of his followers.

You have to combine that some way with movie star contacts though... a botox cult perhaps?

You might also be able to weave it into a product of consumption and open your own Chai-Bucks.
The ol' 'blessed tea' isn't a bad way to go because not only are you supplying benediction but you're also supplying the daily caffeine intake - mind control might not be all that necessary!

Potions are underrated. I am surprised no one has picked up on it yet. Maybe they would be accused of false advertising if they made such claiims, lol. I like the idea though!

I know certain botanists claim that you get more out of a plant by making a tea or solution with alcohol rather than water. Maybe you could use that as a method for distilling your blessed chais .



The other thing L Ron Hubbard really failed on is not including one of these, they're really neat and establish instant esoteric creds!

Hollywood has Kabbalah covered too.

Hollywood's interesting in that they're more well known for the distinctly Jewish route whereas in most other places the Hermetic Qabalah is more popular. I've tried working my way around through different authors on the topic just trying to figure out what it is and how it works - Aryeh Kaplan's book for as much as it's hyped was more of a historical rather than nuts and bolts where as Dion Fortune's book (distinctly more Hermetic) was far more educational and nuts and bolts with respect to lending a way for people to tack the sephira down in reality rather than leaving them as metaphysical abstractions.

Seems like its an ancient articulation of a relatively popular modern claim that our spirits, souls, and minds are energy, eternal, that our brains are simply the reducing valve but that at the right levels of mind we have the ability to call on ideas and forms (Plato's cosmology) and render them albeit we do it on a subconscious level and thus it's a matter of learning to quiet ourselves, merge our subconscious processes with conscious life, and sort of bring down fire the way Elijah did but perhaps in ways closer to what's called in the magic and new age community 'manifesting'.

While there are a lot of people doing what's deemed practical magic with the system there's a lot of repercussion that happens with that, not so much a 'deal with the devil' thing so much as that if you take energy from one place to put it in another there's an equal and opposite reaction, unless it's drawn from the top which is what most Christians would call miracles, faith healings, etc. or what mystics and white magicians would call sacred/divine magic. What I do find most interesting though is that there is a big transcendental angle to it, I'd be squeemish about 'casting spells' but I do like the idea of raising my consciousness to ever healthier states and ever closer to the core of true meaning.

If you're looking to get into something just for the sake of getting into it and are looking for something with the analysis-of-mind benefits of Scientology without the grabiness and sci-fi or mysticism without the Thelema of OTO or A:.A:. you might want to check out AMORC. Membership is really inexpensive and they hook you up with a lot of good material. You may not find movie stars but I'm sure you'd find a variety of ways to get the best super-agent, your subconscious, hot on the trail of good leads.

Sorry if any scientologists on here were hurt by that. I did watch a documentary recently by the BBC on Panorama in which a man was interviewing people who had been part of the 'cult' but then became disillusioned by it and they ended up being stalked by various members of the group. At one point, they were stood outside the hotel the camera crew were staying. Was very creepy
