Universal healthcare ... at this moment, it seems that everyone has the constitutional right to basic medical care on the government's dollar. That is, free health screenings, free inoculations, and free emergency care for life-threatening conditions.
Elective surgery? No free cosmetic enhancements, except to correct birth defects or deformities due to surgery or trauma.
Cataracts? Root-canals and caps? Tattoo removal? I'm still on the fence with these, but I'm still looking into it.

Forgive my error, please. It is actually stated in the Declaration of Independence. "
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" is a well-known phrase, and it gives three examples of the "unalienable rights" which the Declaration says has been given to all human beings by their Creator, and for which governments are created to protect. After all, how can anyone exercise these rights in poor health? How can anyone deny that health is necessary for life? How can anyone deny that not even the government should be allowed to withhold these inalienable rights?
