I would have been a staunch New Dealer had I been around then.

I really agree with most, or all of what you're saying. And I do like FDR's line.

But these are somewhat different times than the Depression. During the Depression, DOCTORS waited on breadlines as well as the "usual suspects." Roosevelt's ideas appealed to a very broad constituency of people.

Same here. In fact I think we could use a revival of the New Deal now. Bring on the CCC and TVA. Oh and don't forget The Glass-Steagall act.

Absolutely...they would get many kids off the streets....and would beautify our country.

We need to bring back the Civilian Conservation Corps. I bet the 'bullies' would simmer down & gain some perspective on the BS they're actually voting for if they took jobs in accordance with their world rather than their country. Also, nurses unequivocally aren't bullies. If Angela were to take some time off & enjoy nature the way her respective God intended I doubt she'd be saying any of this.

Kids have rights to the streets too. The only people who need not be there are psychotic, homeless or both, and we still need to figure out humane ways of treating them thereafter.

It's an absolute; love people or don't.

Many people are quite okay people most of the time--but when they are bitten by the political bug, all heck breaks loose.

I'm not saying kids don't have that right.

I'm saying, frequently, that kids who hang out in the streets, especially in urban areas, tend not to have much to do. They get bored. They get tempted to commit crimes. This happened to me and many other kids.

It's usually better when kids are occupied with doing something productive, rather than just sitting around all day in the house, or hanging out in the streets.

It's the middle class that needs persuading.

When taxes go up, they hit the middle class the most (relative to their disposable income).

That is why many middle class voters defensively vote Republican.

Sanders has many tax increases on the poor and middle class (e.g. gas tax, emission tax, carbon tax ...).

The Middle Class really needs to be persuaded. She's right.

the middle class might have slightly higher taxes, but what they'd save on health care, education and by job creation would more than balance it. i am middle class. i even have some stocks and would pay higher fees to transfer them. still for bernie.

The middle class would also see wages increase.

Yeah, lets tax gas ad add a carbon tax, instead of stopping foreign aid. It makes so much sense.
