I don't know about a police station or a judge, but she will have a record; yes, assault includes verbal threats and even body language (for example, blocking a person's egress by standing in their way, even if you don't touch them).

...Don't do the crime if you can't do the time .

There is no other way of describing these students other than stupid. It is so, so dumb, the fact that they would even associate themselves with the civil rights movement, yet they have trouble grasping basic concept like privacy, public places, the point of a protest, freedom of speech.

What are they learning is school and university, that they can can get this far an not grasp these concepts?

It also shows how intersectionalism can go wrong. Especially if the seed ideology restricts the free flow of ideas. What you end up is a sort of cult of victimhood.

In all honestly it was the best possible outcome. I don't like to revel in someone's firing but they need to look at their academic standards.

You would expect someone who was an assistant professor of journalism to know the basics of free speech. For that reason alone they should consider their suitability for that role.

Being fired? Lol needed that!
