Trump says Hispanic Americans have an 'inherent conflict'
Think about what you just typed, that statement is contradictory.
Undocumented is a doublespeak euphemism for illegal.
The fact that they are here means they are already criminals.
Yes. And this doesn't consider the rest of the story: Forged drivers license, forged green card, forged school documents....whatever it takes to get a job and home, etc., will be falsified and lied about....people are even trying to sell forged documents in our forum....that's how prevalent it is.
There are also other "illegal" activities the "GOOD" illegal immigrant does to stay in this country. The fact is if they're living here they have (been forced) to break many laws along the way. Mexico is not like the U.S. and if you want to survive there you learn how to "cut corners" when you can and to take advantage of any opportunity that comes your way...the "niceties" are worked out later.
"Most illegals do field work. And even those who do office work and the like, make up so little of the job force that it hardly is going to matter."
I don't believe what you say/repeat. With the government and agri-business in charge of the statistics they'll only say what they want. (BUT 12 to 20 million in the fields??? Give me a break. And 10 to 20 MILLION NOT making a difference is silly. And as procreation is what procreation does there will soon be 40 to 60 million more....and etc.
I guess if it's not your bull getting gored then it doesn't seem so important.
"As a matter of fact, there had been plenty of Irish gang violence in 19th and early 20th century inner cities, while the likes of wh***y Bulger continued that sort of organized Irish crime in Boston. The Irish in time became Americanized, and were just another part of the quilt of American ethnicities. The same will in time apply to Latinos in the inner cities."
Yes. This is what I said. But I also said that just because these earlier immigrants had so much problem is no reason for us to force it on the Mexicans coming here. This should be replaced by immigration reform not controlled by agri-business.
If there was a path to legality, they'd take it. Hook, line, and sinker.
But there really isn't, for all intents and purposes.
They seek a 50's version of the American Dream, something which is obsolete these days for most people. You'd be surprised how Beaver Cleaverish some of their notions are. If we had these notions, we'd be laughed out of the room.
Much of the money they make goes back to their families remaining in their previous countries. Usually through Western Union money orders, until recently.
I live in a neighborhood that's about 90% immigrant. For the most part, they are all young, TWO PARENT families. Every evening in the summer our local park is packed with whole families barbecuing and socializing while their kids play...
They work hard, start businesses, go to church. They do EVERYTHING the right says good people SHOULD DO. The only problem is they speak another language (or with an accent) and their skin is a few shades too dark.
Most of the actual crime among people of color comes from Americans who grew up in isolated urban communities ravaged by generations of poverty and/or systemic racism.
Around here, the people to fear are poor, drug addicted white people.
Well sure. Who else goes to the International House of Pancakes?
But in the real world (is CA in the real world?) and other areas Latino Gangs (some from Central America as well) pose a very real and vicious threat to all. But it was certainly nice of you to throw them a "bouquet".

I honestly don't get how anyone can legitimately call this racist. He's claiming that the judge is biased against him because the judge is a member of a group who does not like him. Honestly, how would it be any different than if Hillary was in court for something and the judge was a well known NRA member and she expressed anger that the judge was openly hostile toward her (her perception) due to statements she's made regarding the NRA?

I don't get how you can pretend that insisting someone is incapable of doing their job professionally on the basis of their ethnicity isn't the very definition of racism. When even his lawyers won't support him on something, there's probably a reason.

Trump asserted that the judge could not be fair to him BECAUSE he's Mexican and Trump's policies are anti-Mexican.
That's what Trump said.
It doesn't matter what groups the Judge might belong to. THE FACT IS, he has not done anything to demonstrate bias. Trump has no proof of bias and his hypothesis that the judge's race makes him biased is inherently racist.
The thing that stops most people from being unfair due to things like their race is something called INTEGRITY.
INTEGRITY is what allows this, and many other judges to do their jobs, personal feeling notwithstanding.
The fact that Trump cannot grasp this, the concept of integrity, should trouble you.

Ask the Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. He called the statement racist when asked by reporters.
What you described...is Flushing Meadow Park almost precisely, Goon Squad.
Many (especially) Hispanic nuclear families having a barbecue, playing baseball, volleyball, doing American things. The music played by the adults is usually meringue/salsa; but the kid tend to play pop music.
There are some Eastern European families, but the vast majority are Hispanic.
In Prospect Park in Brooklyn, the same things happen with West Indian families of African heritage.
They hate criminals probably more than the average native American hates criminals. They adhere to the American dream. They work hard so the kids can go to college. And the kids DO go to college, or else. These families are very strict about that. Perhaps overly strict at times.
Most of these people got here by overstaying their visas. Then they either got a good lawyer, or married an American. Most of the time, the "American" is of their heritage.

Questions:
1.- Is Trump truly concerned he might see bias from this judge: I would say if there is any bias available in this particular judge, then Trump should fear him.
2.- What should be done about it? ...NOTHING. The only thing we can address in these situations is the Judge's record. If there is nothing in the record to suggest bias then I'd say ignore the gorilla with the mop on it's head and think of more pleasant things.
There is no law that says we have to be aggravated by everything this idiot says.

The problems in CA are mostly between citizens and mostly due to generational poverty and racism.
The immigrant community I live in is less than 30 years old. They're all immigrants or first gen Americans and they are too busy working and living their American dream to form gangs and do crimes.

First, to the OP, put up an article that can be read without having to be bought. Second, the judge SHOULD NOT be on the case - he is a member of La Raza. Trump is right. I'm tired of this damn racist crap - it is total BS! I say kick this judge's ass right across the border along with the rest of the illegals and get that damn wall built!

If you booted the judge into Mexico, he'd be an immigrant, as he's a born American citizen.
If you want to convince the rest of us that we're wrong, I'd suggest you cite something considerably more reliable than Breitbart.

If anything, Agri-business should be wrangled in by government regulation. That way, higher wages, shorter working hours, safety regulations, and benefits would induce Americans to actually want to work for them.

Firstly the judge is not a member of the National Council of La Raza - he's a member of La Raza Lawyers of San Diego, a local group for Hispanic lawyers that is affiliated with the Hispanic National Bar Association and is not affiliated with the National Council of La Raza. Conflating these two groups demonstrates either ignorance or dishonesty - take your pick.
Secondly, he's an native-born American citizen. Insisting that he's an 'illegal' also demonstrates further dishonesty and/or ignorance with a side of blatant racism.
I don't think Trump opponents could have made a better case for the racial motives here than his own supporters unintentionally do.
