But MSN reports that Brexit has inspired talk of "Texit" ( Texas reverting to its 1836 status as a seperate nation from the USA).

Prolly only a matter of hours before we hear about "Quebexit" from Canada!

Good, Quebec pulls the rest of Canada down.

The only real problem I have with Quebec seceding is that it would separate the rest of Canada from the Maritime provinces.

Don't the people of Quebec have a snobby attitude towards the rest of Canada? I've seen and heard countless times how people from Canada who aren't from Quebec don't like to associate with them and vice versa.

Quebec is basically a different country from the rest of Canada, complete with its own culture. It's no wonder they want to secede.

These incidents are sporadic, for now... but they probably do little to improve the position of the UK wrt. EU in coming exit negotiations...

... after all, the man who will be responsible for negotiating the terms of Brexit on behalf of the EU is - according to article 50 in the Lisbon Treaty - the President of the Council, currently Donald Tusk (until end of May 2017). Last time I checked, he is Polish.

It's interesting to note that French North America and British North America have been at war since the late 1600s. The actual shooting had stopped by the 1760s, but the war has never ended. Despite the fantasies of the international Left, national cultures, especially when defined by language, are not easily erased.

If only there will be a referendum for Lebanon to undo our independence from France ......

As for these two idiots, this is disgusting if true, but far worse happen in other European countries (especially in Eastern Europe).

This is a higher percentage than ever recorded prior to the 2014 referendum. Back then, the share of voters in favour of independence never reached 50 percent in any poll.

This could be a short term effect, though. On the other hand, the inevitable coming economic woes of the UK and the political instability may further galvanize the support for Scottish independence.

Given that both major parties are basically in the process of nuclear meltdown, and that Cameron is (so far, at least) prolonging the economic uncertainty by postponing the article 50 notification until October, the prospects of remaining within the UK may get even more gloomy for Scotland.

Uhm...no, you can't pretend now that the main drive of the Leave camp wasn't kicking out foreigners.

Mass immigration policy was a central topic of Brexit, and the Leave camp was promoting an extremist Anti-mass immigration policy, especially the immigration from Middle Eastern and Eastern European areas - so yeah, many of those expats will going to be deported if the Leave camp politicians will keep word to their followers.
Otherwise, those politicians won't survive politically; so I predict a foreign deportation in mass.

On the other hand, the EU countries hosting 1.3m Britons will retaliate using the same policy, they will probably try to replace them with their nationals returning from UK.

Pretend? One of the main drives of the Leave camp was preventing future migration. There has been, as yet, no in-depth discussion regarding existing migrants who will be unaffected regardless until the divorce is finalised.

The overstated economic effects of leaving the EU which have zero basis in fact, you mean? If the concern of Scottish remain voters was uncertainty, the last thing they should be contemplating is separating themselves from the rest of Britain in the vain hope they might be accepted into a crumbling EU. Scotland would become yet another parasite, sucking on the underbelly of an EU that has just lost one of its most important supporting pillars.

Cornwall (one of the poorest regions in the UK) - where 56 percent voted in favour of Brexit - just asked the UK government to ensure that they keep getting the equivalent of their £60 million in EU funding every year...
