A world government would never work unless it had a private army ready to take down a population that steps one toe out of line or a police force ready to arrest anyone who lifts even a finger against the oligarchs.

It can't please everyone because there's too many people on the planet and not enough money and resources plus there's the wealthy class who will always and forever be served first.

It can't go too far without making someone's dystopian nightmares come true.
