Y'know...this is what I want to know: Why are all leftists so argumentative? They get so anal about things. Why are all of them SO defensive? I just don't understand any of them. I mean, they must be a bit weird in the head or something.

They wouldn't take it. They don't believe in guns and instead want right wing cops and military to use guns to enforce their ideas.

We may prefer peace, love, and unity, but we aren't beyond defending our way of life foreign or domestic.

Not exactly true."Leftist" gun owner here.I certainly don't want right wing cops and the military enforcing my ideas or anybody else's.
That's usually conservative tactics, think of events at Kent State and the Civil Right marches.
The difference seems to be mostly if you live in a rural area vrs urban.Definetly more anti-gun liberals in big cities. In the country most people have some type of firearm regardless of their political affiliation.

Being a gun owner does not necessarily make someone pro-gun. There are LOTS of anti-gun gun owners out there and you know what I mean by anti-gun gun owners. I've met lots of them and my old man was one.

Cuddly pit bulls, that is.

Now if only he'd extend the same kindness to his fellow humans in need.

We've been over this more than once.
I'm not a liberal so my variety of kindness doesn't promote stealing from one group to give to another.

It's easy to say that when you don't want to help someone else.
And seriously, stealing? Is the military stealing by using taxpayer money? Is fire and police protection stealing for using other people's money to help those few who are victims of fire or crime?

I can't believe you passed up an opportunity to compare me to Hitler since he was an ardent dog lover, too.
Others have.

But Hitler had also tested the cyanide he and Eva took first on his dog, Blondie. Have I ever accused you of such a thing?

Some are republican but I think we both know that most of them are democrats.

Yep, I made it myself out of an IRA image I downloaded. Hey, I'm part mick on my mother's side so I might as well cash in.
It's that or go back to my beloved old 3rd SS Panzer division avatar. :D

So what should be done with this internal 'enemy' the left?

To me this is just the other side of the coin of the "right wingnuts" being called racist, bigoted, gun toting, homophobic, misogynistic, Islamaphobic, xenophobic, religious fanatic, ignorant, scumbag deplorables, aka Trump and Trump supporters = Nazi.

I mean is there actually a victim card to be played here?

That and I've heard the same accusations the Op mentioned about the political right.

The blame game and playing the victim card are things both (all) sides do.

In Australia, we have the Liberal party in power right now, and they're a right-wing group. So I always get a laugh when I see American right-wingers using "liberal" as an insult.

YOU'RE AUSTRALIAN??!?!?!

This changes my opinion of you so much, man.

Why didn't you ever tell us fellow Aussies?

I treat other Aussie users slightly better and am more friendly with them, completely out of nationalistic bias of course.

And yeah, our use of Liberal is accurate, the Americans isn't.

The reason being they associate 'Liberal' with 'freedom/liberty' and the associated policies with those words.

Doesn't matter, the consensus among conservatives is that all liberals are communists and the consensus among liberals is that all conservatives are nazis.
