Well good that shows you're at least a bit open minded. I am not a christian as I have probably mentioned before, but I am rather used to Merry Christmas so I say that a lot of times even though I don't particularly celebrate it. Also though many of the 'christmas' traditions are more pagan...before Christianity showed up in a lot of cultures, they had seasonal pagan celebrations.....They just infused the christian 'holy days' with it, because they figured if they let the pagans keep a lot of their seasonal traditions they'd be more accepting of adding the whole Jesus shenanigans to it. Hence how Jesus was not born on December 25th but there were winter pagan celebrations so why not make that Jesus's birthday to? woo hooo. I mean come on what do christmas trees or santa have to do with baby jesus? absolutely nothing.

Well I think there was a spark of open mindedness there, not being offended by 'happy holidays' is a big step for some people.

If Bill O'Reilly accosted me on the street, and growled "SAY it! SAY it" I would happily go ahead and say "Merry Christmas".

But if I worked in the office and had the job of sending out e-mails to invite the corporate district to the office party, I would follow the new convention of calling it "holiday season party".

It all depends on the context.

If he had said "holiday equals holy days which equals religious rather than secular" I would agree with you.
But he said "holiday equal holy days which equals 'Christian'" which is both bigoted and inaccurate since other religions also have holy days.

Thank you. Redneck Baptists are both the biggest bullies and the biggest laughing stock of humanity. They preach the most about the evils of alcohol, drugs, and sex but their communities have the highest rates of substance abuse, STDs, domestic violence, teen pregnancy, and cheating. What they are really saying is that it's bad if anyone but them does those things.

You nailed it. I'm in Kentucky and before I got diagnosed I spent 2 weeks, on two separate occasions in a behavioral center for severe OCD. Every girl but myself and one other were from the Appalachias and victims of sexual abuse by nearly every man and/or woman they came into contact with. Add to that the drug addictions, botched abortions by angry step dads, sex trafficking, etc etc. Anyone that defends Appalachian Republican agendas is doing the devils work. They just love raping little girls and boys behind the scenes, and praising God on stage.
