Trump chose to make a show of his zero tolerance border policy at the expense of these children in a way that no one else has.

It's funny cause a lot of these pics of caged children being shown were actually from 2014. But I guess that back then it was "kindhearted".

In fact, plenty of Democrats had criticized Obama for that. But even back then, the population of caged children was nowhere near what it quickly became under Trump.

It's cause he stops much more immigrants. And anyway I remember no outrage back then, guess that it was ok after all? So hypocritical.

Not only was there not as many children rounded up under Obama as under Trump, but Obama had never been motivated by appealing to a racist base.

Lmao, it thought it was about not putting kids into cages rather than putting less kids into cages. Let's all protest together so Trump puts less kids into cages and make them sleep on the floor too!
Pathetic.

By the way it is not racist to be against illegal immigration.

Just take a look at the Belligerents for the big picture.

It seems from the page that he went against Palestinians and leftists in Lebanon rather than Chistians. And we're still talking about his father.

It is racist if one specific group of desperate people are made out to be all criminals. That is pathetic.
Besides, those illegal immigrants and their children will one day be Americans.

I see that in one occasion they attacked a Christian region, but were they killed BECAUSE they were Christians? If so, why?
Also, we are talking about his father.

If Trump said that Mexicans are all criminals, then he is racist and I agree with you. If some of his follower said it, he can't be accountable for their words. It's pretty easy.

Not that I'd be surprised if he'd said it, but being against illegal immigration doesn't mean that you think that the whole population of the country they come from is made of criminals.

Sure, when your colonialistic nation takes over Mexico. But today's colonialism is more about pulling the strings while mantaining a pretence of democracy, so I don't think so.

It was not nearly the same scale, and those separations were usually a consequence of certain regulations...not the goal. Not saying Obama handled immigration perfectly either but to my knowledge the policy was never immediately rip children out of their parents arms at the border, before processing them.

Also under Obama the attorney general did not change our laws to make it so domestic violence and gang violence are not valid reasons to seek asylum either.

Trump did call most illegals from Mexico rapists, drug dealers, and killers.
No, given a chance at amnesty, they will be citizens, as were previous waves of illegals.

Precisely. He only said “maybe some” weren’t. To Trump most are “vermin” “infesting” America which matches up with his white supremacy beliefs.

Under his management they took kids, put them into cages and made them sleep on the ground covered with thin foil. But hey it was not on the same scale and it was not the goal!
Hey, he didn't handle immigration perfectly but good enough for Democrats to keep riding the moral high-horse I guess!

Give me the quote and let me see it then, then I might agree with you. Illegal immigration is a crime but committing a crime doesn't mean that you are guilty of another crime too.

I hope not, I find it extremely stupid and a reward for breaking the law. But it's not my country so it's not my call.

"Maybe some" means that most are, I only approve such statements if backed up by reliable statistics otherwise it may indicate a prejudice.

May? No, definitive. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt though since you don’t live here and have Brexit (?) to worry about.

I’m unsure how much of this gets overseas, especially since it seems like every country is caught up in their own s**t storm these days.

That "may" was rethorical and you can keep you "benefit of doubt" because I couldn't care less about the opinion you have on me. This been said I think that many of the quotes you presented do indicate a racial bias.
Oh yeah, I cry all days about Brexit!

If you were in the states and couldn’t see it (since we’re bombarded by it in the states) I’d see you as racist (can’t see it in self or agreeing with him) or blissfully ignorant.

Since you’re not here - different story. Especially since you’re in the middle of Brexit. Unsure if any time at all is given to Trump except for international relations.

I don’t give people who live in the U.S the benefit of the doubt- especially this many years in. At this point many of his supporters even see it - they either see it as a side of him they can live with, love it about him, or are still in denial over it (though I think this group is decreasing).

I already told you that I don't give a damn about your benefit of the doubt and you can stop with all this needless condescension, as if I were some freak waiting for trial in front of a judge.

... I thought you were British, for some reason... if you’re not British, how are you impacted by Brexit? (Might be an unbelievably stupid question)

Also, I’m naturally “condescending” in my default form... in other words it’s how I come off without always being that way... I don’t see you as a freak awaiting trial, I see you as someone in another country thus I doubt you get as much information on Trump and what he does as those living in the states, which would only be natural - as said, I know next to nothing about Brexit other than the basics since that news rarely travels over here.

I am now seeing from multiple news sources that there's lawsuits about children in these centers being forcibly drugged. Any justification for this?
