What was cool about a thread that was started by making outlandish accusations against other members? Really it just amounted to a personal attack and probably should have been locked.
It's legitimate curiosity. I don't understand how or why people here would be swayed by anti-intellectual conservatism & spend hours writing lengthy posts trying to convince the rest of us to ignore scientific facts. We're scientific mysteries in & of ourselves.
I feel attacked for asking my questions because now people are just trying to play on my sympathy & pretend I'm a social darwinist. If you're posting disinformation, rational people are going to question you.

Those people lost good affordable healthcare so that you could get subsidized obamacare. You get what they now have to pay an arm and a leg for at a substantially reduced price because you're a "starving artist". And it seems like you getting yours is all you care about and tough beans to the others.
Most of those people working menial jobs were the very ones who never had healthcare.
Now I'll ask you again, what the hell are you guys on the right going to do to provide healthcare coverage for the rest of us?
Nobody owes each other health care, unless they happen to be reasonable everyday people, in which case I'd say it's a necessity.

Gun control is entirely based off emotional beliefs not facts or intellectual ideas. Same for a lot of liberal ideas. Most is just about emotions and how to makes someone feel.
Gun control makes them “feel” safe nit actually safe. They ignore fbi, cdc, etc stats cause it doesn’t align with their emotional beliefs.
Some liberals are pro gun. Some conservatives are anti gun.

I'm not questioning people for disagreeing with me, I'm questioning people for posting lies & making corrupt politics more sexist *&/or* constant tirades against anyone with any liberal view on the basis of what's been said, or not said, by handpicked lowbrow media sources. It's muckraking plain & simple if you ask me.
I find the general disdain for independent thought mean spirited & boring. I'm simply confused by the pervasive negativity in the right wing politics on here, it's not about numbers on the right or left. That image macro literally said Trump was qualified to be president when he was born; to me that's fatalistic & sets a low bar, not to mention alienating towards anyone with any negative experience of contemporary masculinity.

You don’t get to decide what’s a lie, what I’ve seen on this forum is “anything that disagrees with my beliefs is a lie” mindsets.
This forum is full of negativity left wing posts that you from my observation agree with but I find them horrible. I think a lot of them are just hurtful and lies.
I’ve seen such posts about Obama and how he was destined to be our president. You need to not take it personally it’s called hero worship and happens on both sides. If someone gets elected to office they seen as being destined to done it. I don’t think there’s destiny.

You won’t get much Pitty from me towards the left wing after how I’ve been treated and still treated by them simply for voting trump and supporting trump.
Well ignoring science because it suits one's political interests seems to me like lying by omission. Again, I didn't say either partisan camp is better or worse, much less horrible, just that one gave me a bad impression. Not that the other didn't lately as well, but I respect the liberal tendency towards respect for the countless scientists & teachers who worked for ages so we can have better lives. The U.S. political machine as a whole is among the largest environmental catastrophes in motion we're ever seen. Remember the butterfly effect, for all we know a border wall could give us larger hurricanes.
I'm also putting a word in for the zillion or so lonely folks who don't need any more sexism around here.

What's going on is just simply ordinary people expressing their opinions.
Focus on the opinion, not the person giving it.
