I'm sure Monsanto destroyed the grass before the elephants showed up. Or Round-Up gave them cancer.

"Usually".
That is an important qualifier which does not apply to me.

The most important element of the type of virtue-signalling I am referring to is: a "look at me, look at me attitude.
It is dependent on a desire of social importance/recognition, something that I have no interested in.
I would have thought it obvious that my focus has always been on self-actualisation rather than becoming the Messiah. <sigh>

<snip>

I am a "proper" high functioning autistic.
Here is a list which defines some of the characteristics of the "ideal" aspie, imo.
I agree with most, but not all of them, which makes me a super-duper individualistic autist.
I suggest you take a good look at them and adjust your attitude accordingly...err... 8O

OK, perhaps I owe you an apology. On the other hand, perhaps not.

I have never previously met someone who would switch so rapidly between deriding virtue signalling, attention seeking, and attempting to fit into the crowd, before immediately going on to give a list of all the virtues they claim to have, specifically tailored to the social crowd they are currently surrounded by, engaging in precisely the behaviour you claim to hate. And to throw it all in, you deride others while talking yourself up.

I can't tell if you're extremely self-aware and trying to tell a big meta-joke that went completely over my head, or if you're completely lacking in self-awareness. If it's the former, then well done, very well executed.

Based on what you have written here, I am more than confident that you are no John F. Kennedy...errr...I mean no "certain kind of communist".

I can't tell if you're insulting me considering the original context of that quote and how it was used against Dan Quayle, or whether you're insinuating that my position does not qualify as communism, in which case I wouldn't argue with you. These terms are nebulous and it's far better to discuss specific proposals.

Are you insulting me, though?

Firstly:
My intention is never to go out of my way to insult anyone.
I am too philosophically evolved for that sort of behaviour.
I leave that sort of foolishness to other people,
My position is to defend my turf, not to invade someone else's.

Secondly:
Since you are presumably new here judging by your post count, I wanted to validate you existentially.
I.E. Acknowledge your contribution.

Thirdly:
I don't have a good knowledge of political systems, but from what you have written, it doesn't seem to me to be a good representation of Communism.

BTW, My family and their ethnic group suffered horrendously under the effects of Stalinist communism.

It falls within a communist "tent" so to speak because I stand for the public ownership (not management though...) of major economic entities and the elimination of inheritance. I didn't clarify that in my statement here, though, although I have stated my position in other threads in his subcategory. I emphasized in my comment here the distinctions between my position and those of many other communists, who can often be anticommercial and possess moral notions of equality.

What I support is unlike Stalinist communism because the state would not "manage" economic entitles and the children of high ranking officials would not be permitted to benefit from internal nepotism (although this aspect is more indicative of the Khrushchev era and onwards within the Soviet Union). This is something which I find severely distasteful...when communist party oligarchs centralize dynastic power and become aristocracy through bureaucracy. It is the profoundest hypocrisy. I can't stand China's "communism" for this reason.

Damn. <sigh>
I didn't really want to get bogged down in this sort of conversation with you.
You really don't understand me.
You really do have a problem with me. <sigh sumore>

<on reflection>
What benefit is there for me in engaging you in a debate?

I have expressed my view in regards to debating:
In virtually all situations, it is something I detest (due to personal life history).
My overwhelming preference is to engage in discussion with the intention of contributing toward general enlightenment.
How many times do I have to say this?

-I am not interested in point scoring.
-I am not interested in engaging machismo-istic displays of dominance.
-I prefer to transcend my biological urges of emotion satiation at the expense of others.
-I prefer activating the intellect.
-But I reserve the right to self-defence.

You, on the other hand, have a very aggressive attitude towards me and seems to be consumed by wanting to dominate.

My assessment:
We are psychologically incompatible.
We have a personality clash.
And since I prefer to avoid conflict rather than embrace it for the adrenaline/dopamine/serotonin rush, there is no profit for me in involving myself in an arena type situation, hence my decision to simply agree to disagree and leave it at that.

Have a nice day.

To Pepe...

I thought the above comment was directed towards myself at first (I read your comment before the quoted text) and was wondering how we found ourselves suddenly to be such adversaries lol

I wanted to mention I appreciate your clarification that you were not insulting me. I sincerely couldn't tell, and I am glad you were not :)

I prefer harmonious, productive interaction with the intention of contributing toward further enlightenment generally.
Glad to have you on board.
