Well, from the way some people in the US are acting, namely enforcing others to agree to what they say or do whether by peer pressure or economics, otherwise there will be consequences, it's seems that those folks may have been converted to communism, willing or not.

Seeing how just about everything we use here in the US is made in China including medications and hospital equipment, I imagine a lot of people still will because issuing a boycott on Chinese goods will probably cause even more misery.

Trump has been encouraging the growth of manufacturing/industry, within America, for quite some time.
Most countries would/will be doing the same, within their own, as a result of the coronavirus crisis.
