Somewhere My Love (Lara's Theme), from Doctor Zhivago
Somewhere my love there will be songs to sing
Although the snow covers the hope of Spring
Somewhere a hill blossoms in green and gold
And there are dreams, all that your heart can hold
Someday we'll meet again, my love
Someday whenever the Spring breaks through
You'll come to me, out of the long-ago
Warm as the wind, soft as the kiss of snow
Lara, my own, think of me now and then
Godspeed, my love, till you are mine again
Warm as the wind, soft as the kiss of snow
Godspeed, my love, till you are mine again
You might have to watch you movie to appreciate the deep poignancy behind these lyrics. I cannot even read them without tearing up.

The film takes place mostly against a backdrop since the World War I years, the Russian Revolution of 1917, and the Russian Civil War. A narrative framing device, set in the late 1940s or early 1950s, involves KGB Lieutenant General Yevgraf Andreyevich Zhivago searching for the daughter of his half-brother, Doctor Yuri Andreyevich Zhivago, and Larissa ("Lara"). Yevgraf believes a young woman, Tanya Komarova, may be his niece and tells her the story of her father's life.
