I watch "The Bolt Report" whenever it is on TV, even the Friday re-runs.
I don't recall Andrew ever "making fun" of her because she is autistic.

He, like me, finds the *idea* of a 16 year old girl (at the time she was, I believe) knowing more than vocational meteorologists, statisticians, etc, whose total work focus is, errr, focused on their work, very "funny".
It is amusing to him, and to me, that she is trying to lecture world leaders, who have their own highly qualified advisors, on "The Science" when she grew up in a family who have the particular advocacy of ideas that she is espousing.
While she is obviously a very intelligent young woman, I see no evidence of her being an "Autistic Savant".

And had he been mocking a young girl for being autistic, he would have been sacked on the spot, as others have been for going "too far", not that he would be doing that, in any case.

If you are talking about gun rights, well we kind of moved past allowing in random person having a gun a pretty long time ago. It is great because our police are not afraid that just anyone could come at them with a gun and kill them, so they are a little more chill. My dad owns one, and there are some pretty strict rules how it is kept. Pretty sure most conservatives here see how less guns makes everyone safer.

Actually, there was never a policy for this to occur. What did occur was child welfare officers would come across neglected children and send them to the "missions" where they could be cared for. Additionally, many parents of children sent their children voluntarily to these missions in order to give them a better future than they could have expected otherwise.

It would be interesting to see how many would take up the offer if "compensation" for removal was offered on the condition that the "compensated" people had to return to their "traditional" communities and live there for, say, 10 years, in order to regain their place in the community and "link" to that country from which they were removed...My estimate would be none.

My mother-in-law's parter is one of the people who was removed and he (when he was able to, prior to his current illness) travelled back to his family and has seen first-hand what would have happened had he not been removed. He sees the removal as being then best thing that could have happened to him, knowing first hand (from other family members) what the alternative would have been.
