@ speed of light it takes a bit over 3 minutes to send a message, another 3.03/3.11 minutes to get a reply [after the time it takes to make the reply before sending]. each pipeline would not be very fat, and there would not be nearly enough pipelines [at least compared with the WWW on earth] to keep up with demand. mars would need its own marsnet, fed periodically, piecemeal, from the earth. earth-to-mars communications would be emphasized over mars to earth communications until enough radio infrastructure was established. we humans better hurry up and progress to kardashev level II, if we want to improve this.
Thanks Blabs...I based my interpretation on the Mars series which also took into account interference in space but its definitely not my area of expertise.

Actually it would vary. Earth is eight "light minutes" from the sun, and Mars is eleven "light minutes" from sun. So during the rare moments in both planet's orbits in which they are lined up with each other on the same side of the sun they are at their closest to each other. Which is three "light minutes" apart.
The rest of the time the two planets are farther than that from each other. When they are on opposite sides of the Sun
Earth and Mars are eight plus eleven, or 19 "light minutes" apart. So the time lag would vary between three and nineteen minutes.

Drastic reform of capitalism as it exists today is necessary, not utopian. The entire world will descend into a new dark age if the right wins. What we are living in is an event similar to the fall of Rome. When the right fights change, they are effectively swallowing the black pill, but don't understand it. We are already in a situation where there is effective anarchy at the very top of the control pyramid. Institutions are still functioning, but they will eventually cease functioning when extreme economic crisis hits. US hegemony won't exist forever. I think conservatives want to stop the clock, or even turn the clock backwards, in order to try and save what they have. They don't understand the economic entropy going on under the surface. The economic good times can't be brought back by relaxing rules. That will only make the crisis worse.

Soo, if one was late they would collide? Good job they run on time.

To... put it into YOUR terms
Imagine earth as being a blue train that runs a circular track around the sun at a distance of 93 million miles from the sun, while Mars is a red train that runs on it's own separate circular track around the same sun but at a distance of 140 million miles distance from the sun. So they are never in danger of colliding. Their paths never cross.
The earth moves much faster and makes twice as many runs around its shorter track than does Mars (ie Mars has a year twice as long as ours). So at some times the earth train and the Mars train run abreast of each other - and at those points they are 46 million miles apart (closest to each other). But other times Mars as at one point on its track and earth is on the side opposite of Mars on the far side of the sun- so the two are like 230 million miles apart. So the distances constantly change between those extremes even though they never cross paths.

Are you an economist?
I am not economist, but I have studied it. As capitalism exists now and many of the systems that it is in the western world and others, there is an ever increasing movement of wealth from the bottom to the top, spurred on from saying that the market should look after itself as those in the market, businesses, only care about making themselves money. This will eventually lead to a collapse from consumers not even being able to afford what businesses are selling, that the people become slaves to what little businesses are willing to pay as the majority of people will actually be able to buy less and less as the wealth gap increases.
The free market is not some divine god that will make sure that everyone is being looked after, or even be able to act in its own interest when the rich class are able to just hoard resources.

No, I'm not.
But, if I wanted to become one or if I wanted to listen to the true economists who exactly do I listen to when there are differing set of economic theories out there like keynesian economics vs austrian?
No, but can look at the conditions of different empires and countries to see how they rose and fell. One can look at those conditions especially if they're similar to determine a narrative from them? One can look for differences and similarities. I believe that is what historians.
If conditions constantly exist in the empires that fell then one may have found strong corelations.
I will let this expert Cultural Historian Dr. Morris Berman explain it to you.
