Have you found your niche of success?
I have found my niche of being stably valued and respected, which is a success that my previous history of winning various competitions never granted.
If you could do better, would you?
Could do better in what?
Being more than just stably valued and respected -- being admired and emulated, for example.
I have been and I don't feel comfortable with it.
Really?!  One of my favorite moments was when the NT child of an NT cousin told me that he wanted to grow up to be just like me.  His mother (my cousin) had always put me down for being 'weird' and a 'creep'.

I have found, when people reach their "pinnacles of success," that it really is an anticlimax for them.

Basically, like falling in love, it's mostly in the "chase," rather than in the realization which results from the "chase."

You see, my greatest achievement is my mental health, which is not something measurable or comparable to others.
I don't want it to be the cost of any of my other achievements ever again.

Ahh ... I understand.

It is kind of like not wanting to ruin one's reputation with a scandal, or one's good credit with a gamble.

Never risk more than you can afford to lose.

Basically, yes.
I'm making countless small improvements but I know running for first prizes can cost me too much, even if I win.

My favorite moment was a few years ago where a friend (now ex friend) who used to gossip about me behind my back calligraphy me a weirdo and creep also ended up bordering on becoming homesless. What happened was that she was part of a horrible family, so horrible in fact that the father is now gone for quite some time. Months later she started panicking as she lost the fathers second income to pay for the house and was about to have it repossessed. By now being in muh better position than her I had a empty house sitting around but did I help her? Heck no. I told her to go and do one.

Quite a downfall for a "successful" family and a rather nice comeback for me.

As for the OP. Not everyone can be successful and not everyone can fail. He's right about that.

Winning is Over-Acted and Over-Rated;
Success Wears No Clothes But The Ecstasy of the Moment;
And That Has little to nothing to Do With 'Societal Achievement'...

There Are Some Days, in Fact, Many Nights For me, 298,
That Portray Images like the ones Below; noting that i never
Wore A Dollar Bill Through The Entire Endeavor of Heaven Still...

Yes, of course, i have An All Volunteer Accountant, Secretary,
And All Around Personal Assistant my Wife; "Let's Make A Deal" to Take Care of that...

Or Maybe a Deal With The Devil and Never Age; After All, my Birthday is 6.6.60 For a 'Load of That'...

People told me all my Life, to Achieve Some Kind of Stellar Accomplishment Then For Real
After Earning 3 Degrees; but you See, i Understood (STAND) that a Smile is An Ultimate Means for Joy

Now, Now, Now, Now,

And that's still
All i need;
Success
Is Having
Enough no
Matter What
You are Doing Now
And Yes Success is doing
more for me; but only on my
Terms of Competing with me...

Anyway, Pictures tell more than Millions of Words
And that's why in my Personal Bible there are Over
A Hundred Thousand x Ten Thousand Words for Every Photo....

That's a Lot
of Zeros
That
All Spell Smile...

-The Child in School Everyone
Insisted, 'He' didn't to Deserve to Exist..

But No, i Did not Do the 'Male Version of Carrie';

-The Child Who Ignores the REAL Fools and
Listened to His Mother Who Said You
Will Do all You Care

to Do...

In Short,
the Naysayers
Were Most definitely Wrong...

But Of Course, my Only Golden
Tower is A Smile Now and a Record
of all the Smiles i've Gifted to Others now...

My Personal Assistant Doesn't Age at 50 THiS way either

And at 60, i've lived a Life that Folks my Age will ONLY Dream about Free...

i refused
to Grow
Up and i did not..

And DO NOT...

Will Will Be Magic

My Wife is still
Working Hard on it
But Life Won't Let Her Youth Go Away either

For True This Life is always A Game of Success Within;

The one Place none of Us Escapes; Lens of A Real Smile or Not...

It's always Amusing too; to Spend a Day with the Nay Sayers
of Life on a Forrest Gump Bench; with not only the Story but
the Irrefutable Truth NoW in Evidence too; For it's True What
We Are Limited Most in Life to, is What We Believe of Nay Saying Now...

I've Worn Empty Pockets of Money Since January Of 2008 and

i haven't missed A GD thing...

Again, My Wife Keeps
Track of all that Slimy
Green Stuff of no Magic...

Everything is still
LooKinG Like
FLoWeRS to me
-MaGiC Dude iNDeed
Even THorns now Smell
Sweet As Roses to me..;)

-Pollyanna
Maybe Dream
Boat Annie Then
And Peter Pan Now;
No Myth, the Real
Couple now; Hebes
And Apollo too; got
Two Gaudy Statues
on a File Cabinet inherited
From my Father And Second Stepmother
That in 'Our Case' Most definitely Comes True...

Surround Your
Self With
Magic
And
Become
That Magic Next For Real...

Works FoR Me NoW; Cannot
make it work for anyone else;
But True, 'Chaos Magic' is No Joke; the Results are REAL..

i was kicked off 'the Wrong Planet' one Day for Daring to

Even Discuss it then...

Don't Dismiss Magic
Unless You Do And
Don't make it happen...

-'The Dude' Behind
the Curtain for Real; hAha
With His Lovely Assistant;
His Angel on a Magic Carpet Ride Still Now...

Life Is Always Surprising Me With Heavenly

Gifts; it's Practically Magic Every Day now.

i Believe; That's What My Mother Said, Just Believe;
It Was Like, She Was the Oracle off the Matrix Movie;

But i had no
name then;
not even one..;)

Just A Side Note:
My Wife Doesn't
Wear Make-Up
Or Work-out;
That Was Part of 'The Deal', heHe..
She Mostly Watches TV, Eating
Snacks as She Cares to as well...
We Just See Different Snacks in
Life; my Gold Mine At The End
of the Beginning of the Rainbow
in 'Xanadu' aRe ALL Gold SMiLes..:)

-Ever Dance With The Devil in the Pale Moonlight...

Hmm; i think i need to Recruit some more Volunteers to Keep

Track of Heaven;

haha..;)

-i will
-i did...
-MOST
IMPoRTANTLY i Do...

Keep trying, until you reach your level of optimal incompetence.

If you're really smart, stop one promotion before.
