well, I'm probably going to get beat up for this, but I'm a devout Christian.
I know more about Natural Selection than anyone I know, and I've read "the origin of species" more than a few times. My faith is based on scientific evidence and faith. I think that Christian morals are what I should live by, and I do. I don't try to force my ideals on anyone, but I really don't like it when people put down my system of beliefs. If you say that I'm ignorant for what I believe in, then you're probably mistaken, as my I.Q. is almost guaranteed to be forty points above yours. So I know I've probably successfully vilified myself in your eyes, but that's what I believe in, and I don't care if you all hate me now.
sorry if I've offended anyone.
have a pleasant day.
I don't see how anyone of intelligence can make claims about supernatural things that are unprovable. And I'm convinced that all humans are driven by their emotions, no matter how intelligent they are. You probably believe what you believe because you want to, not because you have stumbled upon some proof that has eluded generations of metaphysicians. (And you can't be too intelligent if you didn't notice that "My faith is based on scientific evidence and faith" is a circular argument.)

I don't really have much of a problem with Christianity itself.
That's probably because you haven't studied the history of Christianity. The Western world didn't get christianized because people wanted to believe in absurd, unreal nonsense, but because Christian zealots burned pagan temples and libraries and killed anyone who opposed them. If you want to know what the world would look like if Al-Kaida were to win, just look at Europe in the Middle Ages. It's been done before.
