Its a risky move but could cause McCain to lose the election when he thinks having a woman vp would get the Clinton supporters to switch sides. He doesn't know that Senator Clinton has asked her supporters to back Obama which a vast majority will because she supports Obama and change. Even if the Republicans went with Ron Paul that is a shot into the foot because his polices would destroyed the US with shrinking the Government thus FBI and CIA don't exist which will cause us to be easy prey for our enemies. That why the CIA was founded and it has done its job well and an economy without governmental regulations may look good in the short run but in the long run it could fall apart though Thatcher proved that wrong with economical statistics showing government revenue went up via a decrease in taxes to all social classes. You can eventually end up with corruption in the economy that it will like what it was before good old Teddy Roosevelt came around. Income Tax is wrong but the Supreme Court has ruled in its favor a good bit since the Government would ended increase taxes in order to pay for programs for the US citizens, hence hyper inflation which is a very bad thing to happened. Anyone can find weak points in any politicians' polices and I just prove Ron Paul's on facts that are the truth from experienced people in their fields.

Ahh.. sir we did fine before we had the FBI, the CIA, and the NSA.. these organisations are basically mafia organisations.. they arent there to protect you like they expect you to think, they do a lot of SPYing on citizens.. im not saying its not part of their job, but really they arent necessary.. they are meant for war, and control..
And Income Tax does not pay for schools, or hospitals.. it pays of DEBT to the Federal Reserve bank which is ruining the economy.
And if you think there is actually a threat out there and we need all this military.. why did america ever need it in the first place?.. are people out there jealous?.. no.. people didnt care before America started bullying people around.. with a President that can earn respect from other countries many thigns are possible.. even peace.

And whenever you have a symptom you have to search for the source, and you'll find just how connected all of the problems are.. the deeper you go the more you discover. All it requires is a sense of right and wrong.. The government performs illegal activities like enforcing Income tax which is illegal !.. and they borrow money from the independant Federal Reserve Bank (owned by the Rockefellers) which for some reason.. has the right to print money.. so they borrow money and pay interest on it and the whole country goes into debt and pays more taxes and the middle class was whiped out because of this.. this is not because they made a 'mistake'.. this is beCAUSE they are trying to bankrupt North America so they can tag and bag us, and make us slaves, and nothing more.. that doesnt mean we'll be whipped by soem guys on black steeds, it means we do the work, make the food, and live sh***y lives and never really go anywhere in live.. no individuality.. no freedom.. a police state of the world..

I would say I suffer from pragmatism, if one could be said to suffer from it. I'm a pragmatic idealist, lol. And quite happily so.

Let me ask you this: what does your understanding of the world accomplish for you in your day to day life? What does it prompt you to do? How does it prompt you to feel?

See, I believe I can make a difference in the world. It all depends on how far I choose to reach. I don't choose to reach far, but on a daily basis I am out there volunteering at my children's school, working to help clients, taking care of my family, and chatting with parents in forums like this to help resolve common issues. I believe that my vote has an impact on how much money the school will get, and indirectly how far the supreme court will allow government to limit personal freedom.

If I'm wrong, what of it? What opportunity have I missed? The opportunity to hold a pessimistic view and work to share it? The opportunity to feel powerless? The opportunity to waste my life because it seems useless to try for something better?

Ultimately, I couldn't care a less what your world views are if you do what you can to make daily life better for those around you, and are basically content with yourself. If your world views interfere with that, then I have to ask what use they are.

ANYWAY, as fun as this has been, I DO have things that require my attention in real life, real time. So I will turn my attention to those, and leave this debate.

What do I get out of it?.. a sense of righteousness, a sense of freedom and belonging.. a sense that my soul cannot be sold and that I cannot be fooled. And hopefully, a sense of awareness..

And if you have no sense of awareness, then all your volunteering and your charitable causes are meaningless because you volunteer in the direction the government would have you go.. schools and education are sham to begin with.. all the stuff I learned in school was complete crap.. anything past elementary school was basically pointless.

And I didnt challenge your ability to be content in a world of ignorant bliss, frankly I dont care.. but you were debating with me about an issue and that was the debate.. I dont live in fear over the government and that is the point.. Im just aware.. and Ive made my decision on where I stand with it. And clearly you have aswell.. but I think its a shame, because you only add to the monster by ignoring it, and influencing others to ignore it along with you.. so your not serving your country you just think you are. The reason I speak the TRUTH is because the monster cannot be stopped unless people are aware of it.. instead of passively letting everything slip by them..
congrats for having a busy life thats probably why you're shortsighted.

Palin has a child with Downs because she is strongly in the forced childbirth camp, not because she has any special sympathy to non-NT individuals.

I wasn't specifically asking about sympathy to non-NTs. I'm wondering if her thoughts about Downs makes her pro-AS in the eyes of others.

Isn't this the kind of understanding that many persons on the spectrum are wanting from NTs?

You can't refute it.

This isn't a stereotype, this is absolutely true.

If you're a republican and don't think you fit one of these categories then you're delusional (i.e. category 2)

I think you might just get the most intolerant award for the day.

I mean, seriously? You killed every bit of credibility you had up until the point of your list, and then managed to lose more with that statement.

The amount of hypocrisy on this site never fails to amaze me. People will go all up in arms over someone saying that every person on the spectrum is __(insert some word that isn't perfect)__, then turn around and come out with this kind of thing. And apparently believe it, which is far worse. Do you realize these things? I mean, at some point in your thoughts, do you ever stop and think maybe I'm over-generalizing everyone? Is it insecurity? Is it unfounded hate? Is it being delusional as you accuse others? I mean, I assume there's motivation behind it. I also assume you won't answer any of those questions seriously, but oh well.

It's tiring. You never have to agree with someone - or even like them, really - but coming out with that sort of nonsense is pathetic, as far as I'm concerned. Want to make a negative list about some people you know - fine. But coming out with those accusations against tons of people, an entire group, most of whom you've never talked to/seen/even heard of, is not.

And for the record, no, I don't identify myself as Republican, nor a Democrat. Naturally, if you look to the side of my post, you'll see that my opinion doesn't legally count anyway. Still, you spewing warranted a more honest reply.

I do believe it.

Republicans are pure Evil.

Every single one of them is Evil.

Trickle down economics is an excuse for the rich to get richer on the backs of the middle class.

Underfunding social welfare programs is an excuse to marginalize the poor of our society.

To claim any sort of religious leaning and back a party that marginalizes the poor is hypocritical. The only thing faith based about the republicans is they're listening to Pope Palpatine's edict against abortion and gay marriage. The rest of their party has absolutely nothing to do with faith and everything to do with economics. Every single evangelical who votes republican for the purpose of those two specific issues is overlooking the broader meaning of what it is to care about your fellow man.

It's a nice scam they have running. Pay lip service to the evangelicals while pillage and looting the middle class and give tax breaks to our buddies so they can join in the fun. The Republican party is the biggest con in the history of the world.

And what is their answer for when the resources run out? Have the biggest stick so we can whack our neighbors harder. Rather then fund research into alternative fuels. Having a military so we can bend the world to our will is more important then the long term health of the planet. Good plan.

The Republican platform is one evil stacked upon another, and I have no respect for anyone who votes republican, or thinks that force of arms will be enough to keep us on top of the world.

I feel so strongly that the Republican platform is that evil that I can not be unconvinced that anyone voting republican is not an evil and foul being, barely deserving of the word human.

I've always interpreted the term "trickle-down economics" to mean "pissing-on-the-lower-classes economics."

In which case, I won't bother to reply to your (once again) inane rambling. I will simply say this: you have quite convinced me that you're delusional and bitter. Not evil or foul - such beliefs don't need that word, regardless of what you seem to think - simply bent on ingnorance and quite possibly hypocritical feelings. The amount of intolerance you show is a brillant display of stupidity, but is so unfortunately human that I cannot make the same sort of statement that you did in the last.

Have fun with being angry.

Rambling? Intolerance? Stupidity?

Republicans hate me, so why shouldn't I hate them as a group?

I'm a transsexual lesbian aspie who believes in universal health care, pulling out of Iraq, and spending money on education instead of military force. I'm also pro-choice, polyamorous and believe in ending the drug war, legalizing it all, and taxing the f**k out of it.

Oh, and I want to foster Trans kids to get them out of abusive homes.

So yeah, I've got something to annoy every single existing Republican. Their entire platform seems to be bent on destroying everything I am, everything I believe, and marginalizing me.

Anyone who votes for maintaining that status quo is actively seeking to vote me out of existence. Yes, they are evil.

Anyone who believes that trickle down economics works is either delusional, or at the top of the trickle.

Explain to me how the national debt rises under Republicans, and lowers with a Democrat in Office? Aren't the Democrats supposed to be the ones who tax and spend? What's the discrepancy? An increase in military spending, and tax cuts for the richest 5% of the population who bankroll their election campaigns.

Explain to me how any of this is wrong?

Explain to me how a Republican can be a decent human being while denying what should be basic human rights to their fellow man?

Is this kinda like how Michael Jackson and R Kelly get to be Pedophiles because they sing well?

You're condemning my intolerance, but you've yet to refute one of my arguements, or even try.

Does this mean you concede the point?

I respect your answer. Well, other than the jabs you threw back, but I can see it, continue to disagree, but understand. Fair?

I know I'm not part of this back and forth, but your statements here explain a lot. I remember a dear friend explaining to me why she had no place in her life for the religious faith that I hold: they held no place for her, so she could not hold a place for them. Makes sense, really. But it also made me sad.

But is it the best answer? I don't think those who cannot understand are evil. They are unable to understand. Can't they learn? Can't bridges be built? Believing they are evil creates a fortress that can never be crossed, and enhances the prejudices on both sides. Certainly, there are times that is necessary for survival, and perhaps that is why you have done it: survival. Emotional, economic, physical. But what if some progress could be made?

My father was a live and die Republican. Surrounded by a socialist wife and liberal daughters, lol. At his funeral I was speaking to a cousin, who was very close to my father, and who is gay. He talked about how much he had loved how non-judgmental my father was, how supportive of him. I told him that he had challenged my father to a lot of personal growth. See, what he didn't know was that prior to his coming out, my father had held pretty much all the negative stereotypes about gays. My father never admitted it, but he flipped 180 when my cousin came out. Because suddenly he SAW. This was someone he loved and respected, his nephew. That was one of the beautiful things about my father: oh, he could never say it, but he SHOWED it. When my cousin was in town he invited him to meet him at his office, introduced him to everyone, and took him to lunch.

So allow people a chance to change and grow, in their own way. We're all different. But only few are truly evil.
