i'm not granting any kind of mysticism on it, i'm saying that i think science is being sold very short by people who aren't even reading what's going on in the world of scientific research but rather arbitrarily limiting it to suit their own perspective and then selling off poetic mysticism about the wonder of a bodily function.

and i'm not personifying science other than for ease of writing rather than saying "through the process of scientific research and development" for everything.
