I wasn't aware of this! Vestigial organs are still used as an argument! Simply amazing!

It's easy to hock things up as useless so as to support an idea that would benefit from that situation, but I think this argument is out-of-date as the last I've heard is that the organs can change function when a new species develops from another... necessitated by uses being found for the appendix and "tailbone" and so forth.

To give the complete quote of the passage:

Genesis 1:27 wrote:

So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them.

The word for man here is "adam" but it is shown to be plural in the part:

"male and female created he them."

Also and BTW, adam or adamim is the Biblical name for humankind.

The part, "in the image of God created he him;" can be use to support what you were stating, but "male and female created he them" indicates women are also made in the image of God.

The implication that I get from that argument is that its already given that God is purely a construction of anthropology and human belief, so given human stories lets prove or disprove a God we already know only exists on what people say of him (because he doesn't exist). I'd argue that a lot of religions are chasing the same things from different angles and finding God is a philosophical endeavor still in process. While there are arguments against the existence of God that hold water, I really have trouble with the Hitchens angle of chasing it into oblivion through attacks on the anthropology - it would be as unjust as attacking scientists for flat earth theories held in early history.
