Shapiro is trying to be a "great white saviour" that's why. The film is funded by a conservative right wing website called the "Daily Wire" owned by Shapiro. He's making a point to left wingers whom both Carano and Shapiro regularly mock on social media.

I don't know much about him, but I do know there are many antisemitic people on the left of politics, both here in Australia and over in the UK.
Why not also America?
Why wouldn't he lean to the conservative side of politics?
I am out of my depth here. 8O

It is off-putting that the left's tactic of using "Fascist" and "Denier" trivialises the Holocaust. 8O

I'm sure you mean't plural 'holocausts" because genocide has happened plenty of times in history. There's no oppression olympics, everyone has suffered throughout history but the German Nazis and their allies were particularly (and unnecessarily) cruel to jews, gyspies and other unfortunates who didn't meet their standards.

That has no relevance to what I said, Mr Non-Sequitur.
Try using the correct context. 8)

Quote:
The Notorious Rheinwiesenlager – Thousands of Germans Died in American-Run POW Camps In Germany in 1945

For all but fringe debaters on the subject, the book is closed. The horror and death caused my maltreatment or murder in German, Japanese and Russian prisoner of war (POW) camps stains the history of these countries red, and is still painful for many, on all sides of Word War II, to even mention.

However, over the years, controversy has lingered over another group of camps. Many still claim that these camps were another war crime, this time committed by the Americans, under the command of General Dwight D. Eisenhower: the Rheinwiesenlager.

The Rheinwiesenlager were a group of American prison camps built along the Rhein river in April 1945 as the Allied Forcers were taking control and occupation of Germany. Around half of German soldiers captured in the West at the end of the war were placed in these camps. Most of the rest were placed in British and French custody.

Quote:
The historian Nicholas Balabkins notes that the Allied restrictions placed on German steel production, and their control over where the produced coal and steel was delivered, meant that offers by Western European nations to trade food for desperately needed German coal and machinery were rejected. Neither the Italians nor the Dutch could sell the vegetables that they had previously sold in Germany, with the consequence that the Dutch had to destroy considerable proportions of their crop. Denmark offered 150 tons of lard a month; Turkey offered hazelnuts; Norway offered fish and fish oil; Sweden offered considerable amounts of fats. The Allies were however unwilling to let the Germans trade.[25]

The German infant mortality rate was twice that of other nations in Western Europe until the close of 1948.[27]

The adequate feeding of the German population in occupied Germany was an Allied legal obligation[28][29] under Article 43 of The 1907 Hague Rules of Land Warfare.[30]

Quote:
Nakam (Hebrew: נקם‎, "Revenge") was a group of about fifty Holocaust survivors who, in 1945, sought to kill Germans and Nazis in revenge for the murder of six million Jews during the Holocaust. Led by Abba Kovner, the group sought to kill six million Germans in a form of indiscriminate revenge, "a nation for a nation".[1] Kovner went to Mandatory Palestine in order to secure large quantities of poison for poisoning water mains to kill large numbers of Germans, and his followers infiltrated the water system of Nuremberg. However, Kovner was arrested by the British on his return to Europe and had to throw the poison overboard.

It might be useful if you'd stop waving the generic tarbrush "the left" around.

*I* said it.
I said it to make my point that I am not surprised he might have right-leaning sympathies. 8)
