She's really helping conservatives prove the only issue they have with Ms. Omar is her policy positions. It's highly offensive to suggest racism might be part of what motivates their contempt. 8)

Risking his business brand in politics was a ballsy move. It's not my point to argue about the exact extent of his wealth, but his brand was certainly worth something. He basically went all-in.

Small-minded folks see Trump as this Republican/Conservative stalwart... They had forgotten that Trump is a New York socialite, a self-serving elitist. To him, those rednecks that so loyally support him with fervor are the deploragbles that the puke-a-rainbow liberals like to call them. He despises his platform. He was able to hijack and capitalize on the narrative, during a time of weak Republican figures on the national stage. He ran on a platform of ideas he doesn't personally believe and does not relate to.

His unlikely (and frankly unthinkable) win in 2016 was a magnificent embarrassment to the American political establishment, him, an outsider and a fraud, to be able to take the top prize. I loved every minute of it.
