You can't have it both ways. You can't say that you are Pro Life and then tell a homeless woman to have her baby in the gutter.

Wth?!??

Hospitals are required to give medical aid in an emergency situation, a woman going into labor and giving birth falls into that category because it is a life and death situation (for the baby) and there is a health threat for the mother giving birth in unsanitary conditions (like a gutter).

It isn't socialized medicine, it is basic common sense. Also if you didn't realize it, we already pay for people's babies being delivered in the hospital, from our insurance premiums.

Socialism is where government takes money/property/etc. from one person and gives it to another.

Charity is where you decide to donate your own money/property/time to help others.

You also have to consider the fact that leaving people to die in the streets is a serious health hazard.
