No less than 5 years but the government decides when exactly, do I understand it correctly?

Indeed, it is biased for the ruling party... still, with current opinion polls, I don't think they can achieve much with meddling with it.

Those photos are going to be rare - but here's a more typical one from The Torygraph, dishevelled and falling out of his clothes on his return to the UK -

Sunak has finally announced he's running; the BBC is reporting the current counts as:
Quote:
With just over 48 hours to go until nominations for the next Conservative Party leader close at 14:00 BST on Monday, 211 out of 357 Tory MPs have gone public with their support:

Rishi Sunak - 133 MPs
Boris Johnson - 55 MPs
Penny Mordaunt - 23 MPs

So, that's 55 MPs with an incredibly short memory and no morals.

On a complete tangent, how has he managed have so many babies when he looks like that at a time he needs to dress sharp?

He might be extreeeeeemly confident. I wish I could go to work dressed like a tramp and get paid hundreds of grand.

I remember watching a Reddit video on YouTube titled roughly "What screams I'm rich but nobody would know" and dressing like that was a common theme. Perhaps he's so sire of himself he's given up trying.

I think it's no more than 5 years, I mean an election can't be held any later than 5 years after the current one.

So the government has options:

1. Get a decent leader who unites the party and inspires the voters to vote for them. <--Unlikely.
2. Wait until January 2025 and hope things have turned around for them by then. <--Possible.
3. Hold an election sooner and hope for the best. <--Unlikely.
4. Pass a law making elections illegal/ declare the UK a One Party Nation so there isn't an opposition. <--Possible.

He was fairly good looking when he was younger...but I think it's about power now. People fall in love with power and he also has a reputation as a maverick. To some women a powerful maverick is irresistible :eew:

Yes indeed, :eew:

Here's a short history:
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... -number-10
(which also seems to show how his toddler haircut was a deliberately adopted look)

Also this, from Andrew Rawnsley -
If the Tory party brings back Boris Johnson, it really will be fit only for a straitjacket

He has played all his cards and has nothing left up his (shabby) sleeve. He is destined for the dustbin of history.

Amazing Guardian article, Mr Cornflake. Andrew Rawnsley is a great writer who doesn’t pull any punches. I loved the expression “pyramid of bollocks”.

Johnson claimed yesterday he had the 100, yet couldn't name them. Then today he is begging for more backers, then calls Mordaunt asking her to back out as he needs her backers

He hasn't even declared he is in the running yet, because if he can't get 100 he will claim he was never interested anyway

I'm afraid so. Here's a snap of Rupert Murdoch:
Image

The Daily Mail's caption to the picture begins thus:

That's love! Supermodel Jerry Hall, 62, held hands with her husband Rupert Murdoch, 87, at the beach in the South of France

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/a ... rance.html

Is it love, or is it gold-digging?

Bl00dy cheek. Why should Mordaunt drop out of the race to please him?

I can't believe she's in love with his mind or body...

I think Jerry Hall looked a bit better in this video (at 1:55 mark).
