Religions were founded by schizophrenics

Joan of Arc would be a schizophrenic today. However, her visions proved to be real so who is to say that the way she thought was good or crazy? If you heard voices that told you things it doesn't mean that you are narcissitic but it does mean that many psychiatrists would prescribe meds for this sort of brain abnormality.
I've heard epilepsy mentioned for Joan of Arc and Mohammed.
For Jesus, it's hard to separate what was written about him years later and removed by several degrees from the source (i.e., the New Testament) from the so-called historical Jesus. The man's teachings have been twisted every which way over the millennia.
It makes me wonder how seizures may be able to rewire the brain. There is the possiblility that seizures are the cause of some savant abilities. Since Mohammed and Joan of Arc were able to get people to believe in them, they must have had some accurate visions. At least they were able to pursuade people/nations to follow them. They were definitely extra ordinary people.

Hitler also got a lot of people to believe in him, and there are still people in Russia nostalgic about Stalin.
There isn't much information on how seizures affect the brain. Sometimes it does increase mental activity in the creative processes. I've heard of a few savants who had seizure activity as children. Nobody really understands exactly what causes genius. My guess is that sometimes certain parts of the brain increase in activity when some synapeses are blocked. It's like the blind who develop more acute senses to compensate for their lack of vision.

You are now invading medical territory and you, to put it politely, don't know beans about the complicated interactive brain functions which may result in pathogenic muscle symptoms. Genius is not a singular function producing a universal result and it makes sense to tread very carefully in areas of vast ignorance.
