Maybe he's just going senile. I've noticed that racist curmudgeons tend to ripen with age when you'd wish they'd just hurry up and die already.

It depend on the person
some folks can even learn a little as they go through life and become "softer" and wiser
for instance
Clint Eastwood filmography is a fine example for a man that almost completed a full circle.
The toughest murderous pig in Israel history was the only one who had the guts and determination to dismantle and evacuate the Gaze strip from it settlers.

Is there anyone here willing to buy a house for a homeless person?

It's a mistake to think that homelessness is purely about shelter.
Many people don't need houses as much as they need a home.

Do you wish to share your house and home with an unwashed bum?

It would depend on the individual case, I don't make such decisions along class lines.
Although being unkempt would not be an obstacle.
Yet you miss the point entirely and, without meaning to, illustrate the point I made, regarding the stigma attached to it.

Most homeless people don't look "homeless" because the popular notion of what "a homeless" looks like, is rather inaccurate.

Screw that. Will it add a day to my lifespan? Will it help me lose a pound? Will it add a dollar to my income? What is the use?

hyperlexian.....I rest my case ^
upon reflection, i think that maybe i am incapable of giving up on anybody, hence my tendency to engage in fruitless multi-page debates.
