I implied the contrary, actually. Read on what "resilient" means.

Oh, okay. Sorry.

Please, liberals have no right to complain about Conservatives bashing Obama(per this topic,) after 8 years of constant lambasting of Bush as a borderline-special-child, and not to mention the similar level of bashing directed against successful state governor Sarah Palin.

To say that spreading 'factually inaccurate memes' is purely a conservative preserve, or that Conservatives are the only ones unfairly trashing politicians is absolute nonsense.

Notice I said "these days". Now that a non-far-right president is in office the conservatives, tea partiers in particular, have ramped up their factually inaccurate meme production to unprecedented levels.

I'm not the partisan air-head you think. My views are left of center, but I don't automatically believe every liberal meme I read/hear.

I don't believe 9/11 was an "inside job". I also don't logically buy the argument that Reagan administration "caused" the 9/11 attacks because the CIA was training and supported Islamic extremists in Afghanistan during the war with the Soviets. The "enemy of my enemy is my friend" foreign policy isn't something that's unique to conservative administrations. However, the Bush administration is culpable for it's failure to act on intelligence which could have prevented 9/11 though. That's a fault conservatives never admit to.

I also don't believe the Bush administrations decision to invade Iraq was based on "we need to take their oil". I admit that it was more complicated than that, but that still doesn't change the fact that the administration was dishonest about it's motives and lied about intelligence related to Iraq having WMDs. It's only conservatives who continue to insist that Iraq did have WMDs when it's been proved they didn't.

Yea. I don't see how anyone can claim that Bush was intelligent. It wasn't just liberals who saw him as being a "borderline-special-child". Conservatives knew it too. Former members of his own cabinet (some who remain conservative to this day) painted him as a bit of a simpleton. Apparently he didn't have any patience for non-black-and-white analysis.

Dubyah learned how to fly a military jet. That is something a mentally ret*d person could not do. Dubyah might have been Texas Crude, but he earned a C at Yale. Unfortunately we is not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree and he did follow Bill Clinton, who despite being base and devoid of character is a very bright man.

I never believed this for a second. I was against the Iraq war and I voted for Kerry in 2004. My feeling was that 4 more years of Bush f***ing up would lead to a radicalized Obama regime. I'd have preferred a left-center Kerry regime than an Obama black-power diversity regime.

I don't know why you are so upset about existing opposition to Obama and leftists? Do you really expect your political opposition just to go along with you and accept 'change.' Its not like the left didn't get their hands dirty either with constantly lampooning Bush and Republicans in general, especially in liberal television programming, mass media, and influential sitcoms.

you virtually demand that your opponents refrain from fighting back, which smacks of liberal fascism. I don't know why you are getting so worked up over the fact that there is opposition to Obama? You seem to favor an absolute leftist dictatorship, with the main poles being between left and left-center.

Did you really not expect the 'tea party' to resist? You must be quite naive or just a closet liberal fascist.

Yeah, Bush can put together a correct sentence....... he just doesn't project well on camera, or offer up the 'hip guy' image that Obama was able to do in his 2008 campaign. He does have an MBA from Yale though.

Anyway, the actual content of Obama's speeches aren't to terribly impressive, but just constant tossing out of buzzwords like 'hope,' and 'change.' He sold himself well though during his mass-media pop-culture MTV campaign. He doesn't have alot of substance though behind his superficial hip-guy package.

His speeches are actually pretty shallow and non-commital, and overreliant on buzzwords.

Don't try to change the subject from Bush to Obama.

And why does the fact that Bush couldn't even use correct grammar mean nothing to you in terms of his obvious lack of intelligence? Heck, what makes you think Bush was intelligent at all, anyways?

A simpleton doesn't become president of the United States. Dubya was just a poor public speaker that spoke in an inexplicable Texan accent.

A popular theory (which I ascribe to) is that Cheney was the brains behind Bush. In other words, Cheney did all of the behind-the-scenes work during Bush's campaign and eventual presidency, while Bush just pretended to be smart and leader-like. (Though he was horrible at pretending to be either of those things.)

The thread is about Obama, you silly liberal clown.

His name is in the title.

His MBA, the fact that he could fly a military jet, the fact that he was a 2 term president. Daddy's boy or not, you can't discount his accomplishments.

Also people with AS are hardly one to talk about assigning intelligence or lack thereof based on verbal communication or one's ability to present oneself. Many intelligent people aren't exactly Shakespeare when it comes to grammar and public speaking, but their intelligence manifests itself in other fields.

Okay, so I'm not exactly observant. That's no reason for you to make fun of me.

Tons of unintelligent people make it very far in the military. (In fact, the military is largely comprised of people who are anti-intellectualism. Proof can be found by clicking here.) And who's to say that his father didn't "coerce" (i.e., bribe) his professors into giving him the grades he needed in order to get that MBA?

Bush didn't have AS, though. He was a NT, which means that he should have been able to express himself better than most people with AS can.

BOO HOO........ you've been going at it with me for 2 days straight. You must be one of those who "can dish it out but can't take it."

Save your crying for your sociology professor. How can you deliberately get into massive arguements, make a faux pas, and then expect to be above reproach?

Yeah, now you're really in that conspiracy theory territory that you leftists so often arbitrarily project on conservatives.

Definitely there are lots of cannon-fodder type people in the military, and intellectually unexceptional soldiers, but being a pilot is many levels above being a grunt or cook for sure. And it actually does take a degree of intelligence and social savvy to make it in the military and not get ELS(entry level separation,) or a general discharge during your term of service if you prove incompetent in your MOS, or something like that.

^ Pretty ridiculous and stereotypical if you ask me.

Lots of NT's aren't great at 'expressing themselves' to say the least. Can't say too much more on this but most NT's don't have a perfect combination of amazing gammer, camera-friendliness, being photogenic, fantastic public speaking, etc.

I didn't know you had low self-esteem but that would explain a lot. If you are that emotionally fragile then a heated political debate is not a good place for you.

I get upset because I think conservatives are in the business of holding this country back when things could be better. The same thing happened after the Great Depression during the FDR administration. Opponents cried bloody murder over the introduction of government funded social programs and regulations. I don't know if conservatives and tea-partiers these days would like the world to return to what it was like in the late 1920s and 1930s.

I don't expect you to refrain from having your opinion. I just don't see the rationale in it. Why do you oppose progressive taxation? Why do you oppose social programs paid for by said taxation?

I already know the reasons that most conservatives will state but I don't see them as being well grounded. They all seem to fall back on this notion of the "rugged individual", that everyone in society "earns thier own keep". Somehow they think living in a society like ours requires no social contracts beyond the basic protection of life and property. They ignore the degree to which cooperation and sharing is necessary in a society as complex as ours. No man is truly an island unless one wishes to go out into the wilderness and become like aboriginal peoples.

There's no such thing as a liberal fascist. Fascism is a right-wing ideology by definition. If you're asking whether I'm a closet communist/Marxist the answer is no. I don't believe in abolishing private ownership of all means for production.

You described adult ADD more than a low IQ.
