You all do realize that if we added a men's forum another group would be right behind you complaining about a forum they want, right? Making the same arguments you are making now, just as upset as you are now.

It depends on the request. Not all requests are reasonable, but a request for a man's forum is just as reasonable as a request for woman's forum. Do you agree with that?

But by all means, have fun with the conversation. Just don't feel like your request is being ignored if this thread receives no further mod or admin attention. The answer to your question has already been given, and we can't do anything about that.

Ah hah! I really was going to drop this thread for a while but I think I understand your issue better now. Are you under the impression that you are not allowed to go in there? That you are not allowed to read and contribute in a constructive manner?

That is not the case. There is no secret handshake. Nobody is going to make you kiss a dude to click on the forum. The rules for that forum are the same as for every forum. Go and enjoy, if that's what you want.

This is an aspie board. Let's be honest, basically the whole forum is a men's board. There's a couple women here and there but for the most part, it's all men. Any particular male needs that are "men's needs" can be posted in either the section dealing with social interaction or the adults only section where one can ask more adult questions about sex and what not.

You are joking, right?

For active members, there's more male than female. You're gonna contend there's more female than male on here?

and what difficulties, prey tell, do you face as a straight aspie that isn't covered by another forum ie L&D?
are you denied public services or beaten up on the streets just because of who you are?

I'm female, and gay, and I totally agree with what Skafather is saying

Maybe you should worry about your life more if you're really so bad off that you're picking on the LGBT crowd for having "extra rights" that aren't there.

I don't really think you're abusive though. Just totally misguided.

I was picked on as a kid for wearing glasses and got beaten up on the street cause of my hair style. Can I have a GH thread?

Are you afraid of retaliation for your participation? I see you are already posting your opinions on the gender poll, so that can't be the case. Do you feel that you need to have rights to every forum on the board? Do you post in Women's Discussion?

The LGBT forum is not a website unto itself. It is a piece of WP, and a corner where one can go to find subjects and posts they want to find. Don't think of these forums as different rooms, they are different folders filled with conversation and debate. If you want to converse about LGBT subjects, you have a folder to easily find them. Not ever subset of discussion items will have its own folder, that's just the way it is. If you actually want to have a debate over the issue, PM Alex as he is the only one who can do what you ask. If you want to have an abstract debate about the idea, continue on. If you just want to keep perseverating about this topic, nobody is going to stop you. I just want to help by being as clear as I can be in stating that nothing you do or say in this thread is going to make a lick of difference in the final outcome.

Why isn't this at all suprising?

Yep, and I think you're misguided. Half a dozen of one...

I still don't think you understand my point. There shouldn't be a LGBT forum. And their shouldn't be a women's forum, if there isn't a men's one. That is nothing but fair. I'm just pointing out that if there was a men's forum and not a women's forum, women would be doing exactly the same thing i'm doing now, probably going to greater lengths.

Maybe if enough people agree with me, we could all PM Alex, then maybe he'd listen.

no you can't, but go drop Alex a msg. if he thinks its worthwhile, he'll do it.

why didn't you just get different glasses or hairstyle?

there is a difference between being picked on, and being discriminated against.

Why would you want a hetrosexual, non transexual forum? Do you have a genuine reason, or are you just suggesting one because there is a LGBT forum and you feel some kind of misguided sense of jealousy?
