In the most taxed province (Manitoba), I'd be paying more than I am now but overall, it'd be about the same or less. In Brittish Columbia (the province I'd want to live in, if anywhere), I'd have more money in my pocket.

You could always immigrate

Your immigration procedure is pretty stringent. It's nearly impossible to get in unless you have a job lined up already.

That's with most countries. Not to mention the exorbitant costs of moving. Unless you've got a white collar job lined up or you're marrying into citizenship, you pretty much are stuck in the USA.

I'm all for loosening immigration procedures. I mean, even our first Prime Minister, John A McDonald, wouldn't be aloud to immigrate if he had to go through the process today. Mind you, he was corrupt and a drunk, so that might not be so surprising.

I'm a drunk and rather corrupting but in all the good ways.

I've heard horror stories of the Canadian border guards, though...a number of punk bands who don't make it over...either for pot or just because they didn't look right.

Those punk bands are dumb, you don't bring pot to Canada, you get pot in Canada. Unless they got busted on the way back, in which case I would understand :lol:

I'm pretty sure for those bands, pot is a constant so they also get it there but need/want it before as well.

wtf lol a half quarter is usually $25 here so they might as well just cross the damn border first and then buy it once they're here.
