Yes, there will be suffering for people who will miss you.

After a while you'd realize that pain is just a sensory feeling and without the threat of dying it would eventually not bother you.

watching "what dreams may come" renewed my thoughts about outer darkness. do what you can while alive to avoid that fate.

Eventually ones soul alone in the vast void of outer darkness would condense to such a small point that it'd violently explode into an entire universe. All things would be of that damned soul and would know great suffering and confusion. Chaos in the long dark. :(

I believe that light evolves towards yet greater things :idea: or as Rumi so eloquently put it-

I died as a mineral and became a plant;
I died as a plant and rose to animal;
I died as animal and I was a man.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?
Yet once more I shall die as man to soar
With angels blest. Yet even from an angel
I must pass on; All except God must perish.
When I have sacrificed my angel soul,
I shall become what no mind ever conceived.

As far as I'm concerned, to the extent that anything other than materialism is credible, this guy is probably one of the best in my opinion for covering the mysteries of consciousness and, for the lack of a better term, personal evolution through the process:

It's not that there aren't other people who don't know perhaps more (WP caveat - assuming there is anything to know) but usually that falls into the domain of material so technical that you'd need to have spent decades with this stuff for it to be of much use.
