Fox News is not a legitimate news source. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Considering they are the only ones covering this, while everyone else is trying to cover it up, if they aren't legitimate then the rest of the News Agencies are worth nothing more than used toilet paper.

They're not the only ones covering the story, but certainly the only ones trying to exaggerate events.

As opposed to everyone else trying to make the news, and engaging in out and out lies to protect the "annointed one."

If anything, it's Fox that's engaged in an all out war to slander the President. Just because other news outlets don't engage in such tactics doesn't mean that they're protecting Obama.

The mainstream media has been caught being an extension of the Obama Campaign back in 2008.

There there is Chris Matthews whom gets shivers up his leg.

And we now know that a Fox executive had made it clear to his underlings that they were to slam Obama on every point, even lie about him.

-Bill, otherwise known as Kraichgauer

Riigghhhhttt......

If that were the case, why is Bob Beckel and Kirsten Powers there?

Well now I’m back as planned.
I’ve been in several discussions having to do with the military in one context or another. You have to be more specific.
As far as being busy goes it’s just a matter of not being willing to waste all of a perfectly good Saturday arguing with someone like you. If the other boys and girls in your neighborhood didn’t dislike you so much maybe they’d be willing to let you play with them.

Yes, I was in the military and served my term honorably, not heroically but honorably.
Do you know what either of those words mean?

No, I’m a creationist so we don’t have tails.

My butt doesn’t hurt but I can see that’s what’s on your mind. Sorry, but I’m not into the alternate lifestyle.

Hmmm………..ya know, everyone I’ve ever known that slams our military servicemen and servicewomen like that is invariably someone whom one of the following applies:

1. Tried to join but couldn’t even pass pre-screening.
2. Got in but couldn’t hack the training and got sent home to mommy (seen that).
3. Got past training (somehow) but couldn’t cope with military life and got out on a hardship.
4. Didn’t even try. Not because it just wasn’t for you (no shame in that) but that you knew you weren’t as good as the other boys and girls. This often comes in the form of what could be falsely labeled conscientious objection.
5. Your daddy was a military man and tried (unsuccessfully) to make a man or at least a useful boy out of you and you resent him via resentment of all servicemen and veterans.

I think I’ve had about as much fun with you as I can. I expect you’ll get the last word in call it a victory or, as an act of desperation, cry to the mods that I’m picking on you or whatever............
I’ll just sit back and watch you hit yourself below the belt a few more times, not that you have anything down there worth hitting, then lose interest in this thread and move on.
Yours truly,
Waptow

I apologize for snapping; when I answered your post, it was about ninety six degrees here, and we don't have air conditioning, and so I wasn't in the best of moods.
As a matter of fact, MSNBC has former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough working for them, hosting their morning show, Morning Joe. Now, no one can cast doubt on this man's conservative credentials - and yet he has taken Fox to task for their one sided, prejudiced reporting, and has stated several times that his party would be committing suicide if they nominated someone like Palin, Bachmann, or Perry.

This all means that Mr. Scarborough is a "Liberal."

A "Liberal" is, by definition, someone who doesn't take his marching orders from Rupert Murdoch.

Mr. Scarborough is obviously thinking other than proper, "Conservative" thoughts if he has any problem with Fox's one-sided, prejudiced reporting. His statements regarding Palin, Bachmann and Perry are absolute heresy.

Inuyasha will tell you so himself.

I'd probably pass on Alba since she annoys me but who is that in the middle? Saldana? I'd go there for sure.

Any one who joins the military is a No Hope or a moron or trying to meet guys.
There are a lot of reasons people join the military. College money/ GI benefits, get away from parents, go [sort of] see the world, get out of 'da hood, build a job resume and maybe a useful job skill, civic duty, good kids trying to find their direction in life.

Average IQ of "service men" is lower than the national average.
I don't know where you get your data but it doesn't matter. IQ is not a measure of character.

If the U.S. military is the "cream of the crop" why are people born in poverty over represented?
They are ding what they have to do to make something of themselves. Their home neighborhoods offer few opportunities for any decent quality of life even for someone with a diploma, a clean record, and looking for work. Some of them are even safer in Iraq or Afghanistan than they are in their home neighborhoods.

Why do They have drop the standards so low just to get the dregs who want to join?
Because they are burning out people faster than they can replace them. Most people are unfit for combat after their 9th tour of duty. In retrospect we really should have reinstated the draft in late 2001 or early 2002. Unfortunately it would be idiotic to ever leave Afghanistan unless we manage to crush militant Islam first.

Why is it that the names of the kids with c averages are given to the recruiters?
Because they are the most likely to have no direction in life yet stay out of trouble. The D and F students are likely to drop out and have chronic legal problems. JROTC programs also try to attract all kinds of kids.

Why do recruiters fight so hard to dupe people into joining?
They are not 'duping' people, it is a big responsibility and taking it on gives people pause.

If it makes you feel better being on the Camouflage dole and wasting taxpayer money
to pretend that mindlessness is somehow a noble tradition, then go for it.
If I was a No Hope Red-neck I would probably do the same.
There's a word for people that join the military to be glorious on the battlefield- casualties. Sometimes they get in a situation where they are about to all get massacred and they do some amazing things for the sake of their whole unit, but outfits don't want they guy around who is out to "win" the medal of honor because his stupidity will likely be a needless danger to the unit. They do keep a noble tradition despite being 'no hope rednecks' who has the better character? The guy that sits around talking s**t about the military and foreign policy yet has little in the way of realistic alternatives to propose, or the guy that risks his life for people's right to talk s**t about him?

I find the a**hole jingoism, nationalism, and military worship of many right-wing people disgusting, but I do respect people who put their life on the line in order to serve our society. I realize there are certain dangerous but necessary jobs on which civilized society depends and that the people who do them cannot really be adequately compensated for the risks they must take on in their line of duty.
